I'd like to see them do well but they got a shitty draw. In Group A, I could see it possibly happening but Spain, Italy and Croatia are all among the top 6 or 7 clubs in the field in my opinion.

After watching a little more Fulham this year I started to take a serious liking to Damien Duff.

Also, I want Keane to represent MLS well.

ETA: Any other MLS players locks for Euro squads?

He played well last time and I would love to see an encore performance. Russia was exciting to watch.

Im sick and tired of Portugal drawing these brutal groups in major tournaments....any other group and they go through for sure. They got rolled by Denmark in qualifying

Hendo comes out of left field and surprisingly picks Germany to win it all.

I would bet Germany hard. Everything just seems right for them to take the trophy. They will get great fan support in both nations, they have oodles of talent, etc.

My preliminary group predictions:

quote:

Group A

Poland|Greece|Russia|Czech Republic

Group B

Netherlands|Denmark|Germany|Portugal

Group C

Spain|Italy|Ireland|Croatia

Group D

Ukraine|Sweden|France|England

Bold are group winners. Italics are second place.

I think we should do what we did for the Cup:

Each poster given 2-4 countries and then do a breakdown of them.

I'll volunteer for Eire and Croatia.

I would have a 24 hour-long boner. The Nederlands hate Germany more than they hate themselves.

Euros are going to be incredible.

I'm really a fan of both sides. Have a lot of Dutch contacts over the years that got me watching them, but I freaking love how the Germans play football. Their young talent gives me wood. To think these guys aren't in their prime yet is freaking ridiculous.

Yeah. What's awesome is that the quality of soccer outside of the shithead hosts is so high with these teams. These games will be outstanding. A possible Netherlands/Spain semifinal is mouthwatering. France vs Italy in a knockout game? Count me in.

I'm taking Germany over Spain and Holland. Spain will miss Villa.

This joint hosting of the last two kind of sucks. Takes one really good team out of the tournament. I fricking love the Euros, my favorite sporting event on the planet.

Holland is Germany's little sister to the north. Similar to Canada and the US except as Hendo mentioned, much more self loathing in holland. Germans are gonna beat the wooden shoes off of them
