Edson Braafheid - Played for Bayern, Celtic, and Lazio. Came on as a sub in a World Cup Final. Currently plays in the USL. Absolutely shite player.

He married my friend from high school. I don't know how that came about, but seemed very random.

Also I got to go with Hulk from Brazil. Dude started out in Japan for 4 years to Portugal and Russia back to China.

He was always a notable player, since he was a Brazilian national team player, but never played for a major club.

Porto and Zenit are massive clubs.

When I say massive I mean top 4 leagues. Zenit is a massive club, the same way Celtic and Rangers are massive clubs. Can't compete with the world's elite. Porto is a feeder/ retirement club.

Hulk won the Europa League at Porto lol.

I am fine if we start calling United a feeder/retirement club as well.

I mean, Porto has a Champions League trophy from the 21st century sitting in their cabinet as well.

Paulinho is a good one:

2006–2007 FC Vilnius (yes, started career in Lithuania)
2007–2008 LKS Lódz
2008–2009 Pão de Açúcar
2009–2010 Bragantino
2010–2013 Corinthians
2013–2015 Tottenham Hotspur
2015–2017 Guangzhou Evergrande
2017–2018 Barcelona
2018 Guangzhou Evergrande (loan)
2019–Guangzhou Evergrande

All while making over 50 appearances for the Brazil national team

El Loco Abreu is somehow a player manager at 43

Probably wouldn’t pick the guy who can’t stay at a team for more than 20 minutes as player manager

Whoa, that’s a guy I forgot about. I thought he was going to be the next big thing when he played for San Lorenzo.
