Penalty Kicks - a terrible decider

I think they are exciting to watch, obviously. More scoring happens in 5 min than in the previous 120. But I don't find them to be a very accurate decider of a game of this proportion.
Why couldn't they just play more time? Make it a golden goal type OT after the 120.

120 minutes non stop running, guys started cramping in this game. PKs seem necessary and exciting as hell

Playing beyond 120 minutes is little bit beyond reasonable. It's not necessarily fair for the losing team, but it, to me, is the best possible scenario to ending a game after extra time

Could you imagine? My word. I don't know if the body can take that sort of punishment, especially in high heat and humidity.

Did you even watch the game? Both teams were completely exhausted and you want to add more time? The 30 minute of extra time was essentially garbage play.

It's an atrocious way to decide a soccer game. It would be akin in American football to having placekickers decide it from a tee with no blockers or rushers around. It has very little relation to how the game is actually played.

It's not perfect, but they can't just keep playing.
And as someone else said, golden goal doesn't work. No one tries to score for fear of the counter.
Maybe allow more subs after 90? I don't know.
