I was wondering... watching the game in the background. Then saw the stoppage.
Unreal.

Hopefully the defibrillator just malfunctioned or fired off and everything stable. I’ve had patients get shocked by their implant and it’s apparently not fun at all.

Frick… hope he is ok. No way he can keep playing after a second occurrence.

ETA: What few reports there are say that he is conscious and “doing well under the circumstances”…

Match between Denmark and Ukraine has been abandoned.

That's good to hear. The players on both sides were obviously upset but they were holding up better than they were the last time so hopefully it's something like St Aug alluded to.

Good Lord. This dude just needs to hang it up for his own safety.

Thankfully they said he's ok and the pacemaker fired off as it should to keep him going. He apparently even walked off the field under his own power.

But really, he's 34 and Denmark didn't qualify for the WC, why was he even playing.

Glad to hear he’s okay now but twice - that’s a nope

He’s 34, has made his money, time for coaching or retirement

Would retire.

Good dude. Has a future in coaching if he wants it. If not, live your life.

I’d have stopped after the first one. Wild stuff.

You probably don't understand how critical things get, and how fast. I've done it, where I'm deadlifting 2x bodyweight and pushing sleds fine, and then blood clot (PE) says, not today, a-hole!

He's 34. He's had a good run. It may be time to retire. 34 is old for a soccer player.
