Seeing as ´rayo´ means beam (as in beam of light), I don´t know if they´ll still be energy or Rayo OKC. Based on the logotype, one would think the latter.

When you realize it's majority owned by Rayo Vallecano, it makes perfect fricking sense.

Scissor-tailed flycatcher, state bird of Oklahoma.

Though they should have put a tornado, as it's a little more fitting.

Tornado may be deemed insensitive in today's pc climate.

Flycatcher sounds pretty damn cool and is unique.

Of all the European club name prefixes out there, this was one of the last ones I thought would be used in the States.

(and yes, I know it's because Rayo owns the team)

Great idea by Rayo, considering all of their success in Spain.

I don't really understand this relationship. Hopefully, they'll roll out there LGBT jerseys. That screams national news

From OKC Energy

We spent two years assembling our team, building our fan base, and supporting our city. The countdown is on for 2016, and the best is yet to come!

We Are OKC. We Are Energy.
