These are games we always lose. Great to see us grind one out.

Agreed. It was fricking ugly, but 3 points on the road, a clean sheet and we move on.
ETA: the one moment that had me pulling my hair out was when Dier was chasing a ball back to his goal with a defender behind him and he tries to flick it over his shoulder, instead of making the easy pass back to lloris, that resulted in a fortunate handball on the burnley player. Had that not resulted in a handball they were 2v1 on goal.

I don’t know how anyone could not love playing with Son. I love watching him celebrate with his teammates, I think he wanted that hug with Kane to last even longer!

I love Son
The video of him mingling with everyone else’s families after the last game (last year or year before, I can’t remember) is so wholesome
I wish I had an uncle Son

Silver linings, not the worst match to lose. Probably won't really change anything in the long run.
I'll give credit to Antwerp, they played really well.

So for those of us that are just getting Internet access, what happened?
Posted on 10/29/20 at 4:27 pm to GeauxColonels
Jose rolled out Squad-B, except with Lloris is goal.
Wasn't great, plus Antwerp came to play. Davies gave the ball away at CB and Antwerp capitalized with a free-run at goal.
Made 5 changes in the 2nd half, looked a lot better, but Antwerp made some really nice blocks to keep Spurs scoreless.
I thought the defense was pretty solid, minus that one Davies mistake. Midfield was okay, Winks is getting slaughtered by Reddit, but I don't think he particularly did anything to warrant the vitriol. Dele, Lo Celso, Bale, Vinicius, and Bergwjin just didn't gel whatsoever. Very disjointed performance.

Good summary.
I felt bad for Vinicius getting lumped in with the halftime subs. I think if you put Lucas and Son with him he would have been effective.
I don’t know what to think about Winks. I’ve been a big fan but it just seems like we struggle when he’s in whether that’s because of who he is paired with or how he plays I don’t know what the deal is.
Little nervous we’re gonna stop rotating players based on Jose’s post match comments but he may just be trying to wake them up.

Winks should’ve been the one that got yanked at half for hojbjerg, and left lo celso on. Granted, lo celso didn’t do shite either, but he MIGHT have actually created something. We all knew winks wasn’t about to do that. But as Jose said post-game, if he could’ve put 11 new players on he would’ve. They were all bad as a unit.
Dele is a fricking shell and I’m looking forward to him leaving.

I don't totally agree with you about much, but I'm getting to/at the point of moving him on.

In his defense, it’s got to be hard knowing that the manager has very little faith in you, and that you are on a very very short leash...but he was given another opportunity today, and showed very little.

Yep.
And it's kind of the opposite with Winks. Not nearly as talented, but at least you can visibly tell that he gives a damn.

Winks has never done anything for me, I’ve always wanted him to succeed and I always wait for him to do something because BCK, who I know is way more knowledgeable than me, keeps saying he likes him but I just never see it. I’m with Special K, I feel like we struggle on offense every time he plays.
