It’s just unbelievable.

Reminds me of this clip "In Bruges" Tottenham.

On the bright side, he will absolutely throw down with all of the deadwood for lack of effort or just being shite.

I literally have no words for any of this. That’s why I haven’t commented in here yet

If it is indeed Guttuso it will be the worst-case scenario IMO.
I always thought that Conte was an odd fit, but his success made it possible to look past some of his other qualities. After ruling out Conte and a Poch return it was always going to feel underwhelming no matter who it was, but Fonseca at least had some clear attributes to get excited about. He has had some success as a manager. Plays an attractive style of football. Is charismatic and would represent the club well. Promotes youth and improves players. If anything I felt like Fonseca would improve the atmosphere at the club and potentially unite the fans and team.
Gattuso on the other hand has all of the problems Fonseca has had and none of the redeeming qualities. He has had short stints at every club, very little success, and a pretty extensive history of hot-headed comments and decisions.
How someone who has been running this club for over 20 years and recently gave an interview about unity and restoring the "Tottenham DNA" would think this is the right hire at this time is unreal to me.

Sums it up perfectly that.
I think everyone was genuinely starting to look forward to Fonseca. I know I was.
I think he would've gotten a fair shot, whereas you're now bringing Gattuso into a situation where a lot of people will be against him from the start. Not a good vibe around the club at the moment.

After opening meeting with Jorge Mendes, Tottenham told Gattuso they’re not interested in appointing him. ??? It’s never been a done deal, just an interview with the current frontrunner... as many others made by Spurs this summer. Fans reaction, key for the decision.

Please please please tell me Tottenham now go back to Fonseca with tail between legs, after absolutely abandoning him, only for him to say thanks, but no thanks.

Fonseca is off to Fiorentina to take the job Gattuso left.
Is this type of chaos just regular life for Italians?

Well they’re all in the mob.
So this is probably light for them

Sounds like Valverde is the next manager on the chopping block. Gonna be interesting to see what new way we come up with to ruin the deal

I've done it again....I have researched myself into believing Valverde is the guy. I will now move into phase 2 by refreshing Twitter every 10 mins for the next week waiting for an announcement only to find out that we pulled out of the deal at the last minute. Phase 3 will involve convincing myself that we never wanted Valverde.

I'm gonna be devastated when we finally give in to Jurgen begging for the job.

It's eerily quiet on the manager front. I assume that Levy is tired of all his dumb arse ideas blowing up on social media before he can announce them so he is on a covert mission to make his dumb arse ideas happen in private. My guess is when leaks start to come out whoever it is will be official.
Also, he deserves everything he gets, but Levy is right in not wanting to accept anything but a cash deal for Kane. If we lose Kane we need to recruit players that we want and more importantly that actually want to be here. I don't blame Sterling for not wanting to leave City for Spurs fwiw.

Out of all of the city players being floated sterling is probably the last one I’d want.
But yeah frick Levy in just about every situation except for this one dealing with Harry Kane. Maybe it’s been done differently in Europe over the years, but it drives me crazy to see comments from pundits online about how Spurs should do the right thing and let Kane leave for offers well below his value, when he has three years left on a contract he signed. They always seem to forget about that pesky little contract.

for real! Chelsea is trying to do the same thing. That want to include Tammy and Kepa in ever deal like the rest of the world hasn't seen them play the last couple of years.

I mean, do we even know if they are still looking for a manager at this point?
What are the odds Mason gets another year because we are inept in the front office?
