I hate Chelsea and I'm always glad to see them lose. Still, they got hosed. If that game was called down the level the last 20 minutes, it's at best a draw.
Liverpool's defense was excellent, but there were two no doubt penalties that were let go.

If Chelsea lose a couple more games, what team will you follow?

There was also a gimme goal that Liverpool missed.
They deserved that win.

I didn't watch the whole game. How does this 3-6-1 work?

I will follow Chelsea....don't really see what point you're trying to make there.
It's tough to expect a guy, especially a striker, to come in and have a $50 million impact in his first game, when he's been with the team for a week. Especially against his former team who no doubt has a little vengeance against him.

When did you become a Chelsea fan?

Like I said, I don't think Torres should have started, but I understand they had to play him. They were coming off a 4 goal win, why force something new that is clearly going to take time?
Nevertheless, Liverpool played a good game and deserved that win. Definitely some controversial calls though. But I won't complain.

Just finished watching! Jamie Carragher was lights out! Glad to have him back. Oh, and have I let this board know just how much I love Raul Meireles? Oh my god I am so happy right now!
I want to see the liverbird under your screen name.

4 straight clean sheets for Pepe...Carra was a huge and Raul is en fuego!

still a diamond in the center of their midfield, with back-winger hybrids making short, elliptical runs on the sidelines, not really getting too deep, minus maybe glen johnson. that's how I saw it at least, nothing too complicated. just an approach to erase chelsea's midfield movement. the only problem is that chelsea's counters found huge swaths of space against the last 3 defenders .

Congrats Liverpool, I know it meant a lot to you guys. We looked like the same shitty side we have been for going on three months now since Ray left. Obviously it's not going to turn around, time for Carlo to go. Roman tell Guus we need him to come save us again.

Either you're extremely sarcastic, or you're the most pessimistic son of a bitch on this board.
Either way, I hope you continue to be right about this.

over the fricking moon about the win and the fact that we've got 4 (+ clean sheets) on the run. But, that game was terrible watching, especially early on.
First 30 mins were nearly unwatchable and I was fricking shocked at Chelsea's effort. It was like they didn't know the game had started. I think Liverpool's plan was to bog the midfield and force Chelsea to work through them, and it was clear that Chelsea wasn't up for that challenge. Liverpool reinforced their intentions by subbing on Aurelio as opposed to Suarez.
Everyone saying that Dirk isn't a lone striker is wrong. He is, but it's situation dependent. He's been great these last two games holding up play and working for everything. Obviously he's not really a true striker in terms of goalscoring, but there's always something to be said for what he does.
Lucas was immense today again as was Gerrard in the midfield. Lucas had to be good to deal with Anelka working so deep and he was up to it.
I just don't think pairing Drogba and Torres together is gonna work. Neither works hard enough for the other to benefit.

I'm not being sarcastic at all, I'm being realistic. A few weeks, maybe even a couple of months, can be considered a slump. This is going on three months now of pure shite. Not average, pure 100% dog shite. Uninspired, no creativity, no effort, no ideas. Even at home, it's pathetic. Hard to watch really.

I don't have any hope left for this season or the near future.

Then I guess your club wasted 72 million in this transfer window that just passed.

Chelsea's midifield is utter shite. A complete overhaul is needed. Lampard was the invisible man today and Essien wasn't much better.

Well if Torres is worth 50 mil quid, I'd take 75 mil for Fabregas. They could use a player of his talents.
