To answer your question about Danny ward, he's mainly featured in the reserves and u 21. Not a player that I've seen a lot tbh, could be someone who is for the future but I honestly see him moving on from the club at some point to pursue more first team football.

I understand. He's been playing extremely well this season, and I know Aberdeen will want to keep him.

It's just sad that we actually have to be nervous about a game with Norwich at the weekend

A draw isn't bad, Bordeaux is the best team in that group.

Fair enough, I didn't do my research and didn't realize they finished 6th in league 1... The goal conceded was just sloppy and its compounding frustration based on the results so far this season

Lots of people raving about sakho. Haven't been arched it myself though. BR said he's putting himself in contention for the weekend - f u Brendan.

Once again our goal comes from a wonderful individual display and not great teamwork. Our next well worked goal will be our first this year.

Saw about half of the first half (crappy phone service). About to watch the second. Will leave my thoughts afterwards.

Never mind. LFC TV doesn't have the rights until 24 hours after and Fox 2Go doesn't have replays.

I just finished watching and for the team we put out, I am not entirely surprised or disappointed...

Not that we played great or anything, far from it... buy given what we've seen so far and the team... okay

I thought some of the youngsters played well and Sakho was very good (to answer my question)..

This should be the hardest game of this group stage..

Sakho played very well from what i saw of the first half. I also thought Rossiter played well. Cou looked completely out of it considering he had a week off.

First half was par for the course this year. Second half we looked better.

Wing backs pushed up higher and Lallane and Coutinhi tucked in and up closer to the striker more which really helped our linkup play and spacing so it was good to see that adjustment.

Chirivella looked very good in possession. The formation didn't suit him, but he still looked ok, but has to do better defensively if he's gonna make it as a DLP. That said, Branagan on in a 2 man midfield and partnered with another youngster not necessarily known for his defending? Wtf....

From what I've seen, he's much more comfortable moving forward and I've never really seen him play as a last line of defense in front of our back line, so we test him out with a one goal lead on the road in Europe next to Chirivella? Wtf....

I'm happy Rodgers switched things up and made adjustments, but still some "throw shite at the wall hoping it sticks" moments. And again trotting out a striker up top alone, who doesn't look comfortable with it

Sakho inked a long term deal today. It's like a cruel joke at this point

I'm assuming you mean because Brendan, for some stupid fricking unknown reason, refuses to play Mama in league matches.

In which case, yeah. I don't even know anymore.

Hendo??? That is really bad news. We have completely missed him in the midfield. His energy, runs forward, a little bit of moxy and creativity (but not too much of that). Its a big blow.

As for Sakho, I'm ecstatic he signed it. Fan rumor going around that he knows that Rodgers is out and thats the only reasons he's signed it

That absolutely blows... we've really missed him!

Really happy for Sakho... It will be criminal if he down get in the first team this weekend...

May make sense sticking with a back three now that Hendo is out too..

Rumors about the Dubai royal family takeover of Liverpool picking up steam this week. Obviously because we just lost to ManU and our fans are frustrated and looking for any positive news.

I have no doubt that FSG is upset at the softening in FFP rules, but it would still surprise me if they sold now instead of after the stadium is complete(thus upping revenue potential). I don't see them selling us at this point.

But they may see it an opportunity to divest for a profit early rather than risk no buyer being available later on.

Is this the same group that almost bought us in 2007? When it was eventually decided Hicks & Gilette were the preferred option?

Yeah, I can understand the thinking that the ease of FFP has made it a tough mountain to climb... basically, you have no room for error and are somewhat limited in the players you can attract...

Its hard to say how Id feel... I think FSG has done a relatively good job, in the regards that this is ultimately a business and not some hobby they can throw their own money at...

That said, if e ever want to compete with the big 7, in terms of financial strength, year in and year out, this may be the only way...

However, right now I think its wishful thinking and people trying to connect dots that may or may not be there..

I did see this

which would answer my question, yes it is the same group... or at least part of the same group..
