Klopp responds accordingly. Think I may have targeted see Ibe and Flanno get a start too for Firmino and one of the fullbacks, but Ibe seems to be in the doghouse

How good is Origi becoming? Great impact today as a sub

He's been immense! With Ings coming back from injury next season, and with less pressure put on Sturridge to be our primary goal scorer, I'm no longer convinced we need to buy a striker this summer

I actually feel better now if we decide to sell Sturridge per that rumor a few weeks ago... Origi appears ready to take the top spot, ings a more than suitable back up imo

Absolutely. And yeah, if we do sell Sturridge, then of course we'll have to bring someone in. Especially with Benteke leaving.

all of our remaining fixtures are against teams lower than us in the table... majority of our games are at Anfield... just saying, but this could get interesting down the stretch...

That was a great game and just what we needed heading into Thursday...

I'm really looking forward to next season, after Klopp has a summer to bring in some of his guys..

Was glad to see Studge go the distance today and look lively.. Origi is developing well..

Klopp mentioned a nice partnership developing with the two... with all the attackers healthy, it will be interesting to see the team selection on Thursday..

Add Gotze and Markovic next season (possibly a striker) and we could be so exciting to watch... just need to sure up the defense..

FWIW - the same guy who broke the Klopp story before anyone else, says Skrtel to China is a done deal..

Very nice to see Studge go 90 - but I wonder if that means he'll be sub against Dortmund?

Um..No. A couple of week uptick in form from a 20 year old doesn't mean he's ready to help lead the line. He'll have his ups and downs.

I do agree that we *may* not need to buy a top striker this coming window though, depending upon what we do with Bentenke and how much we get for him.

We looked good yesterday - but the scoreline was inflated by a terrible keeper from Stoke. He should have done better with three of the goals.

I do think that, other than the Southhampton second half, we have found our consistency.

6-0 victory over Aston Villa
0-0 tie with Augsburg
1-0 victory over Augsburg
1-1 tie for Cap Cup (loss in PKs)
3-0 victory over City
2-1 Victory over Palace
2-0 victory over ManU
1-1 Tie with ManU
3-2 loss to Southhampton
1-1 Tie with Spurs
1-1 tie with Dortmund
4-1 victory over Stoke

That's 12 games (or 24 halves) where we have only played poorly in one half. Yes, we didn't play well in some of the others (Augsburg) but we played at least ok. We haven't given up more than 1 goal in any game other than that bad half where we gave up 3.

This is a pretty good improvement in our previously up and down ways. I'm looking forward to seeing if it continues against Watford, Chelsea, etc. Teams we have struggled with recently. At least Klopp has already beaten Palace.

ETA - Ojo looked pretty good. I think he's physically ready to play now - and maybe what we had hoped Ibe would be. Direct, fast, and dynamic. Time will tell if it can keep it up, but I think he earned more PT yesterday. And is likely why Ibe removed all Liverpool related images from his social media.

Selling Stu would be a mistake IMO. I hope we stick with him.

I know his injury shite is annoying as hell but damn he is top shelf when he's fit and on form. Just a lovely lovely player.

People want this FIFA mentality of JUST GO BUY A STRIKER but don't realize how utterly difficult it is to find a reliable goal scorer. There's maybe 3-5 in the whole world that you could throw into any team at any time.

Stu, assuming he is fit, is one of those 5.

I 100% agree... As much as I think Origi has improved and adds to our overall depth, he's far from a proven first team striker... not to take anything away from him, but one goal was a fluke (made possible by Studge's near post run) and the other was a wide open header (I know Studge's was similar)... That is not meant to bash him, just to temper the expectations from him...

If we lose Sturridge, we'd have to go get someone who could be our main striker... Origi may be able to beat him out and be that guy, but I would not have a good feeling if he was our #1 next season

And who know how Ings will be when he comes back..

Counter point to this, he put it in a dangerous area where Studge could have knocked it in or it could have gone in on its own... Keeper was worried about the near post header and DS let it go past him to the back post.

Look I'm not saying we absolutely should sell Sturridge, and if it came across as that my bad, my point was I feel better if the rumors of selling are true. Of course Origi will go up and down, but I think he's a good player that will continue to grow under JK

So ITK's confirming we're interested in Gladbach's Mahmoud Dahoud. I admit I haven't seen much of him, but I've heard a lot of people speak VERY highly of him and that he would be perfect to sit in front of our back 4

I saw those rumors breaking last night... However, everything Ive read doesn't point to him being a DM... more B2B...

Ive never seen him play, but did quite a bit of reading on him and most think he is something special... saying he will cost ~ £20mm

The one thing anyone watching noticed, was that Dortmunds back line are slow.

Even when they only pushed up 10 yards, they were on their heels. Liverpool should be able to expose this again, but Klopp has to continue to put ojo and others out there to take advantage.

I thought Dortmund would win, but after watching the game, Dortmund have weaknesses Pool can take advantage of.

I think there's more than a handful of guys you could say that about, that aren't hurt as often as Sturridge. Lewandowski, PEA, Higuain, Griezmann, Suarez, Aguero, Kane, Ibra. That doesn't mention guys like Benzema, Jonas, Dybala, Vardy, Muller, Cavani, Lacazette...I mean can we really say that Studge is a more well rounded goal scorer than 10-12 of those guys?

I wouldn't want us to sell him for peanuts, but if a PSG wants to throw the kind of money that city threw at Sterling our way, then I think it would be silly not to sell given Klopp's history at developing young players and his injury history
