This is true. I dont think anyone would argue that but many of his mistakes the last two years have been just stupid mental ones. Decision making is poor/slow in the final third.

It could also be the system since BR needs his outside backs to move up so much and he just doesn't have the wheels he used to. 5-8 years ago he would be a stud playing for BR. I also think it tends to be the new Liverpool fans attacking him who have not seen a majority of his career.

What he did 5-8 years ago shouldn't have anything to do with today. He's been shite for as long as I've been watching (3 years). He just doesn't have it and needs to be replaced.

My frustrations come from his poor crosses, ill timed and weighted passes that end good possession and attacking momentum in the final third.

No one has ever said he is the reason, but he is one of the reasons. However, his offense has been even worse than his defending. That is what I'm more worried about. He's constantly fricking up attacks.

Johnson needs to be phased out.. I'd rather take my lumps with Manquillo.. start to get him experience..
I was Johnson's biggest supporter, but around January of last season, I quit trying to wait for him to regain form..
As for the rest of today, it's one match early on... I won't jump to too many conclusions (was it last season early on, we couldn't score in the 2nd half... turned out OK).. Just put it behind us and move on...

Thats what I said, even said final third like three times yet we have a manc in here lecturing pool fans saying we are blaming him for poor center half play.
