At least he made fairly good pushes into or towards the box this year when he did play. Bad enough that I wish he hadn't gotten the opportunity to make those pushes though.

Some rumors about going after simeone but not sure he would leave athletico.

Talk about nonsense

He just inked a new deal this year until like 2020

By Tuesday we'll be linked with 10 more managers whose reps were spotted in Liverpool inking deals.

How many rumors have you all heard of Andrea Pirlo? Read something earlier of him, but didn't seem very detailed.

European papers (especially British) are notorious for the most absurd rumors 98% of the time with zero truth behind them. If it sounds too good to be true, it prolly is.

Duly noted... Lol. Is there a source that can be trusted more than others, or just in general?

James Pearce of the echo, Tony Barrett of the Times, Ben Smith from BBC are some of the true Liverpool insiders

There's some more across Europe that are a bit more reliable, but if you haven't followed much transfer news, just remember to take everything with a grain of salt. Even reliable journalists get some wrong and things can change very quickly

Thanks for the tip Zaba. Bookmarked to lend a tad more creedence to their claims.

Transfer windows are hella fun. Like recruiting on steroids. But you'd go crazy and get burnt out super quick if you out much stock into every tabloid's rumor mill. That's just to sell papers

A lot of people seem to forget that he used to be awesome, and was considered for a while to be one of the best backs in the league. A consistent call-up and starter for England over the same span. He was never the same after cutting the dreads.

I'll wish him well, but it is time for him to go.

If we do keep Rodgers and this committee, and we sell Sterling, we'll have handed two of our biggest three windows (if not the biggest two) to a group of people with a questionable, at best, transfer record.

Given the spending discrepancy between us and the bigger clubs, we can't piss away a second opportunity if it comes our way.

I feel like there are a dozen things I learned this year that Rodgers failed to learn. Easy things, like Can not being able top play RB. Things a manager should notice in one half and not continue making the same mistake over and over.

I have a feeling he stays because its true to the project and FSG may not be willing to scrap it entirely. But I also think that FSG will change up something - they can't just sit still on this.

Almost 24 hours gone and more time to think... Surely, he has to be fired?!?

End of year three (we gave him what he asked for) and we don't have the fricking squad yet to play people in their proper positions?? After spending over £200mm??

He was on such a nice trajectory, but he totally lost it this season... Not sure if its the weight loss, new teeth or his new gal... but his ego is out of control and he must be stopped! I get nauseous just thinking about handing this bunch ant sore of significant money this summer...

Eduardo Salvio is a fine little player, but if we pay the price being thrown around for him.. I'm going to lose my shite..

I don't see it happening, but I'd cry if we did...

Look a marquee signing

The rumors are if the old lady wins Champions League, they'll offload Tevez and Pirlo to Liverpool.

If we're still under Rodgers, I would think it would be a horrible idea. I think Pirlo would be harder to protect in the EPL, especially on a side like Rodgers where the defense and positioning is so fundamentally poor.

And the last thing we need is another talented, but sulky forward who we never know if we'll get effort out of day to day.

I've heard his official "buy-out" is north of 35m pounds. But I've also read that we won't be paying his buy out (something considerably less) since no one will and they are willing to cash in on him.

If he comes, Sterling is definitely a goner (gooner?) though. No reason to have that many wingers.

All due respect to Pirlo... but that would be a disaster IMO...

I'm sure he still has something to add to a top side, that can cover his weaknesses and use him in the right situations... but I'm afraid we would just exploit all his weaknesses in this current team...

Also, what is the purpose of keeping Kolo Toure? He was ok last year, but nothing more than a body this past season... cut him loose please..
