Given how studge has looked, do u consider starting sterling up top?
Absolutely not, IMO. I love me some Sterling, but you have to think that your best players will show up big in a match of this magnitude.
Jacky V... I am gonna blow a gasket if we don't have Balo and Studge up top at least for a portion of the game, if not most of it. We NEED firepower if Man U is going to play like they did against Tots this past weekend.

Sturridge always scored against the Mancs. He can only play this crappy for so long.
I would give Balo a chance. Will be shocked if he's not on the bench.
The real question is what do you do with Gerrard? If you're going to play him like yesterday, I'd sub Markovic in for Lallana on the left.

Did Markovic not see time yesterday? I really like the idea of he and Sterling on the wings with Allen in the middle and Hendo/Cou rounding out those five. Lots of pace and attitude moving forward with the speed to get back if needed.
Gerrard would be someone I would bring in at around the 70' mark... Let him run around full of energy for 20 minutes and create something on the attacking end. He is old, but as long as he is well rested, he can definitely change the outcome of a game going balls to the wall for 20-25 minutes.

I hope we get a chance to see Balo and DS up top on Sunday because we'll need to have that scoring ability on the pitch. When Sterling learns how to finish he's gonna be scary. I sure would like to have Ibe around about now.

He still nursing a knee sprain, or did it turn out to be more?

Balo had a stomach bug yesterday so everyone ready too much into it.
We should see him in some capacity Sunday.
I like the interchangeability between Markovic and Lallana, just swap them out depending on what the game and other team look like.

Glad it is just a bug... Lots of things to read into, in my defense, with the whole Balo situation.

So now Migs leads the league in clean sheets?
He can't kick for shite, but he's absolutely rock solid of late. Happy for him!

Always regarded as a WC shot stopper.
Love his progress, still young and a good future ahead of him.

Also guilty of this and just as happy.

His touch has been poor but other than that he's played well. He needs to be paired with another striker. We're going to see more of the same until BR gives him a partner to play off of.

Unpopular opinion - I think we should go 4-3-3 with Gerrard at DM on Sunday....
Never thought I'd see the day

Hmmm I hope we stick with the 3 in the back as it's served us very well so far

He's been pretty terrible all season at that position. He had some good games last year but this year has been a different story.
If he plays anywhere it should be closer to the front with Allen/Henderson at the back for protection. He just cannot track back or a man anymore. He walks around in front of the defense and its cost us hugely in big games.
I don't think you change what has been working personally. As much as I love Gerrard, its best for both parties that he is leaving and he won't be the big elephant in the room anymore.

No way gerrard should be in front of the cbs at this point for a full game.
Imo he has to start Sunday as his influence and captaincy is too large to leave off for such a big game.
He therefore must take Cou or lallanas place. Probably lallana for me - but I know lallana and sterling switched between winfback and attacking mid on Monday - something Stevie can't do.

No way he replaces Cou. No way in hell.
Hopefully good Cou shows up Sunday.

Yeah Adam is clearly the first man out at this point. He's been surprisingly poor lately.
