Hell of an end to the year. Let's start '17 the same way. We go again!

Chelsea may prove too much to overcome... but keep on going... our second half of the schedule is much more favorable..
Happy New Year, lads

also, Gini MotM!
What a buy he has been... Sadio and Matip have received more props, but he is quietly been a steady rock in the MF... He can improve in the final third, but that will come!

Yeah, I hate to bag on a former manager, but our business in 2 windows under Klopp has been miles better than anything under Brendan... Just think about it: Gini, Mane, Matip, Klavan all solid signings that contribute (verdict still out on Karius imo, think he can be good, just not there yet)

So glad for gini. Huge 3 points. Defense was superb. I mean aguero or debryune were pretty quiet. Happy new year reds!

I haven't been Gini's biggest supporter this year. Thought he's struggled to justify his price tag, but he was excellent today
The whole team defended superbly
Will be interesting to see what changes we make for Sunderland in 2 days

Yeah, I'm guessing Origi and Sturridge will see significant minutes in that one if not start it.... Hoping Cou and Matip are at least back on the bench

Yea I'd like to see Origi and Sturridge start up top together like in the FA match against Spurs. Should let some of the other kids get some time as well.
PS I love Klavan you gorgeous Estonian bastard

Is it my ignorant American arse or is James Milner the fricking answer at LB?! He absolutely dominated Sterling today. And if he is not playing LB he is not in the XI and I do not want this guy on the bench.

I think he's the answer for now, outside of the first 5-8 minutes, he bossed Sterling (which I took great joy in seeing
)

I def think Klopp will ride him for the rest of the season there, but I'd like to see a true LB come in, at least in summer... I think he's done a good job for what was asked of him, but we can do better...

Yeah I think Kloop will look to bring in a young LB who can split time with Milner for a season or two before taking over

I agree Colonel. But I also think we have a couple of really good years watching this battling SOB play in Red. He is a lot more to this team than just a LB.

Yeah he's a leader for sure. Seems to always put the team first. Which is why I hope he can act as a role model not just for a young LB but for all the other young players.
Personally, I think Can could learn a lot from him as a mid

Factoid according to opta stats Kun Aguero had zero touches in our box for the 90 minutes he played. #shutdown
