The national team stuff in manager mode is worthless. I don't think they even have qualifying.

I know they had qualifying awhile back for the EURO. I think they have it for European and South American Teams, but I could be wrong.
The worst is when you manage the USMNT, you do not have qualifiers. So when the WC starts it literally randomly picks like 3-4 CONCACAF teams and you can be left out for no reason.

If you take charge of the USMNT, it seems like you play the same 5 friendlies over and over and suddenly it's time for the World Cup.

With mine I had to go through Euro qualifying with Austria (it was limited to what I guess they deemed the 6 weakest Euro teams and the rest were already in) and played the Euros. The UEFA WC qualifying involves every country they have in the game which is cool

I always end up simming every national team game I manage and then quit the job after like 1 year lol. It’s only fun if you play as USMNT or a similarly skilled team and rip off a deep World Cup or Euro run.
Also there is European qualifying but idk about South America for sure

It sucks. You have to save your career on or before April 30, then as it rolls over into May stop the Sim and check to see if you got it. There's been times I've had to do it 5-6 times before US got in.

Yeah wish I would have known that. By the time I realized I wasn't in the WC with the US it was too late

They did that active negotiation thing with FIFA18 I think. It was pretty neat, but it really made the transfer process take super long.

I wish Football Manager would be released on xbox/playstation. I don't really like actually playing matches on FIFA. I just want a somewhat realistic simulation, but I don't want to play it on my laptop.

I play 19 alot on my switch. It's great to kill time on a trip, plane, or just laying on the couch or whatever. But EA pretty much said frick Nintendo again by announcing the switch version won't be receiving anything but new rosters going forward. I wish Konami would seize the opportunity and go all in with a PES game for the switch that showed some effort.
