I'll be in New Orleans from Aug 21-26. Looking for restaurants and bars to check out. I would prefer if they were within walking distance of the Hyatt Regency, but they don't have to be.

I appreciate any help.

Food board will sort you out. Went a few months ago and got great recs. my favorite place was called "high hat." Best oyster poboy I've ever had. And get the fried okra to go with it.

Hope you aren't trying to watch any soccer games anywhere pal, because you are out of luck, especially if you are an Arsenal or Liverpool fan.

F&D will take care of you, but I'll answer here.

Borgne in the Hyatt is a great spot for happy hour...1/2 off draft/wine, $2-3 import cans & $5 small plates.

Near there (5 blocks) there's a great gastropub type place called Capdeville...also a good happy hour and their burgers are really good.

Peche is a place you 100% need to hit, though it's busy during peak times...grab a spot at the bar if crowded and eat/drink your arse off.

La Boca & Desi Vega's aren't too far for great steaks. Avenue Pub is your best beer bar.

And yes...Finn's

I'd love to hit up Finn's with everyone, but I have a conference that will tie me up from 8-4 every day.

Killer Poboys is in the Erin Rose Bar in the Quarter. Also,if you go to Finn's make sure you eat at Katie's. Katie's is 3 to 4 blocks from Finn's. Check out Serio's and Johnny's Poboys.
