I see the Spanish displaying their usual effectiveness in passing the ball while searching for attack avenues. Nigel De Jong gets frustrated with the Spanish possession and makes aggressive challenges against Xavi, Iniesta and/or Villa. De Jong gets sent off and Netherlands has to play with 10 men. The Spanish take advantage and win 2-0.

1-1

Spain scores at 30 minutes and concedes at 55 minutes

Torres goal in extra time wins it.

i know i put 1-0 earlier, but i really hope villa maravilla gets the 2 goals to become spain's all time lead scorer. so i change it to 2-1 la furia roja!

I think Spain will need more than one goal to beat the Dutch. The string of 1-0 victories for Spain stops on Sunday.

I don't really care one way or the other. There are players on both teams that I like, and players I dislike.

2-1 Netherlands, my pick to win it all. Of course I thought Brazil would curb stomp them after seeing their first 4 games. Anyway, I've gone against Spain in every knockout round, which probably means they win this.

Spain 1-0.
It will be history making. Of course, no one will actually watch it in the US because you're a bunch of boring third worlders.

Or that the CL final between Manu and Barca outdrew the highest rated College World Series when LSU won in 2009. On a Wednesday afternoon.

Spain 3-0. Robben gets sent off in the 7th minute for repeated diving.
