It's pretty safe to go with a player when it's a national team jersey. So I'd go player. Club shirts can be a riskier investment.

I bought an Eric Lichaj jersey when he played for Aston Villa and by the time I received it, he was off the team.

Still happy I have it because he is American.

trivia alert: the man who designed the font the USMNT uses now, including jersey numbers (font is called United btw) graduated from LSU.

Until further down the line. Would be awesome to have a Zidane shirt from his time at Cannes or Bordeaux. Even Dempsey's jersey with the Revolution would be rather valuable.

Why would Barry go Julian Green? He is not a prospect guy, but I am not surprised you would want an 18 year old.

Barry prefers proven veterans, so I would recommend Michael Bradley.

I would also go for the centennial kits from last year. They are the best ones IMO.

I'm thinking going with the Tim Howard kit. I'm not a big fan of it, and will be a little bit more expensive, but it's unique and TIMMMAY!

i think i may actually go with no name. the shirt is plain enough that i can wear it both during games and while golfing.
