Matches to be on NBCSN and NBC...there will also be live matches online.

quote:

NBCUniversal will soon become the exclusive U.S. media rights holder for English Premier League soccer, officials from NBC and the NBC Sports Group announced Sunday night.

The multi-year agreement begins with the 2013-14 season. NBCUniversal will have both the English- and Spanish-language media rights to all 380 Premier League matches across all platforms and devices in the United States.

So games previously seen in the United States on Fox Soccer Channel or across the ESPN networks will be seen on NBC, NBC Sports Network, and NBCSports.com. Spanish-language broadcasts will be seen on Telemundo and mun2.

NBC’s soccer properties now include Major League Soccer, U.S. men’s and women’s national team contests, the men’s and women’s Olympic soccer coverage and the venerable Premier League (beginning in 10 months).

There goes the beIN fear.

Interesting. We will see how it goes I guess. I love FSC2go so NBC better deliver an equal service.

it would have been hard for Bein to pull all the leagues off with out spinning off some other channel...

What will Fox have.... UCL and Europa?

SPL, brah.

If Fox is smart they'll buy Bundesliga from GOL and get the rights to Russia and the Netherlands.

Should we assume that games will come on regular NBC on Saturday mornings? This just seems unlikely with it being a network station. I know they still have NBCS but at least with espn and fsc you were guaranteed 2 games at the same time.

Assume nothing with NBC's sports coverage. See the Rugby World Cup and Olympics for examples.

The link mentioned live broadcasts specifically. Although I wouldn't make any judgments until next season.

shite I hadn't even considered the Olympics fiasco and how it might relate to this. Now I'm very skeptical about this.

I think this should be a mandatory clause in the contract. Otherwise they're just half assing it.

This makes me happy. From a SKC writer's Twitter:

"NBC confirm hosting their own pre- and post-game, and weekly review shows. Welp, that's about the whole buffet, right there! #EPLonNBC"

Do we get a mildly annoying Faith Hill song each week prior to the start of the match?
