MLS gets almost zero publicity from ESPN

yeah, good point.

there was some talk months ago about ESPN trying to get out of their NASCAR deal a year early, which coincided with their MLS deal running up for renewal. the speculation was that the leader was looking to dump the cars and double down on MLS, but i dont know if any of that was true.

as much as ESPN sucks, i hope they notice whats happening with NBC and see MLS as at least property with potential. im interested to the this years playoffs ratings compared to years past, even though theres no LA, NY, or Seattle Dempsey's still playing.

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that MLS can't beat out the WNBA. I've been re-evaluating my life and the world we live in all day.

It's about time.

Also, you could try using logic that WNBA is on during the week in primetime and not 10PM CST on a Sunday.

Meh I don't give a shite when it comes on, WNBA is the devil. Kinda hilarious that MLS is behind.

You being a pompous douche while trying to spin the fact the WNBA is outdrawing the MLS is pathetic. Typical, but pathetic.

It doesn't matter if the two worst teams in MLS came on at 3am and only in Boise, Idaho. It should still outdraw any WNBA game regardless of time, team, network etc...

That's not my spin, that was from SBI. It makes sense.

Also, I take being called a douche by the biggest doucher on this site as quite the compliment.

No, it doesn't. It's a pitiful attempt to spin a pretty damning fact.

You can wrap that up in whatever bow you want but I'm going with Randy here. There should be zero excuses as to why MLS is not outdrawing the fricking Minnesota Lynx!

To be fair, while it states it in the article, it does NOT actually provide numbers or details.

Are they comparing a regular season WNBA game to the MLS? Or the WNBA championship game?

I do think MLS suffers greatly from not having a set "Saturday at 7pm central" type of tv game. I actually have to look through three different channels listings from Friday at 5pm til Sunday at 11pm to figure out what games are on when. And sometimes its 1 game and sometimes its 4.

There is zero organization to it.
