I find it interesting that the bottom six clubs are all located in very big markets. I suppose a bigger market offers more competition for patrons, not just in regards to professional sports but also in regards to recreation and leisure in a broad sense.

i dont understand why they have never installed bleachers behind the goals. there is a ton of room with hospitaltiy tents there. kills the atmosephere

This is my first year with season tickets, but apparently the front office really screwed the pooch this year with the Hall of Fame construction. They pissed off a lot of long time season ticket holders with the way the handled rate increases and shuffling people around with the south end being closed off.

Portland is exploring the possibility of adding a second deck along the east side of the ground as well as building a stand on the south end. The architects and engineers have concluded that it is entirely possible and would increase capacity to 28-30k. Now, the difficult part is in process: receiving permission from local entities to implement the idea. This will be a quiet, cautious process of discussion and negotiation that could take a couple of years.

I would be great if Atlanta United ended up with the second highest number of season tickets, trailing only Seattle. Perhaps Atlanta United fans could adopt the moniker Soccer City USA. The agitation it would cause other people would alone be worth it.

All 6 have a bad stadium situation, either poor locations (it's about an hour by train to the Fire's home stadium from downtown Chicago, for example) or in DC United's, case dilapidated RFK.

Any word on how fulfillment is going? I know I purchased the 2 I committed to. But my wife's uncle, for instance, put in interest for 6. He may end up purchasing 2 or 3 when he realized 6 was ridiculous for him.

Yes. The owner stated that there are plans to expand by 10k, bringing the total capacity to 28k. An upper deck will be added to the Cauldron (supporters section) providing an additional 2k and the east side will receive an additional 8k. There is no stated timetable to do so as of yet.
