This is his most important summer he has had. He needs to find a club that will use him well.
Which is why most of us agree he should stay for another year. He probably won't find a much better club where he's able to get as many games, but another solid year of league and international play should him take another leap up in competition.

If maher leaves I don't know that staying is his best option. I just want to see him play more often I guess.

Now he does things that are world class at times and his vision and touch are so much better.
I agree. His little touches and flicks while holding off defenders last night were fantastic. Some of his ideas and his quality were, frankly, too good for some of his teammates, including Dempsey.

Dempsey has not played quite as well lately, but we have that luxury with jozy in form

But... But... Jozy never scores for USA...
And he's lazy....
And he has an attitude problem...
We need more Agudelos and Bunburys.

I've been following soccer for about 5 years now. I can't remember seeing another player, or one that I've actually invested time keeping up with, improve so much. I like to think I'm a pretty good judge of talent, and to my eyes, he looks like a (almost) world class forward. He needs to do it in a league where he will see better defensive teams to get any real recognition, but he is well on his way. I don't agree that he needs another year at AZ. It looks to me that he is entering his prime years and IMO he should make his big move rather sooner than later.
His highlight reel from the past 2 years at club level is amazing. He scores some great goals. His all round game has improved dramatically as well. I have a suspicion that a big club, or semi-big, is going to throw some real money at AZ for him this summer. That may be wishful thinking, and if it is more like the 5mil previously mentioned, someone is getting a steal.
Either way, it's fun as hell watching him improve year after year. Seems like a pretty good dude too.

Problem with him making a big jump too early is not getting enough playing time. He just needs to keep playing and scoring goals.

As a jozy lover, it's hard to be more excited about a guys form over the past couple of games
I had my doubts at times thinking he may never live it up to his potential. But then I would think about how old he is and that he has time.
But the time is now apparently.

Japan, Mexico's next opponent in Confed Cup, has scored more goals in match v Italy than Mexico has scored in its last 5 matches combined
