Way too lazy/throwed to link but on twitter there’s a video of Bielsa trying to pronounce Ipswich.

Holy shite. I just saw the Leeds villa highlights. (I’m team Jansson btw) Does anyone know of other moments where a team allows the opponent to score after something like that? I don’t think I’ve seen that before.

Something similar happened in a Shakhtar game against Nordsjaelland in the Champions League awhile back.

Shakhtar we’re kicking the ball back after an injury and Luiz Adriano just ran after the ball and went an scored.

If I remember right a few Shakhtar players tried to let the other team score, but just like the Leeds baw, some dude said frick that and actually ended up stopping it haha.

Before that goal they were losing and won 5-2. I do think Adriano was suspended later though.

I've got a personal story.
Was playing in a tourney and in the last group stage match.

Tied going into the last 3min or so when a result from another game determined that our opponent couldn't advance, and we'd advance only if we won.

Cue our opponent's coach telling his team to stop playing so we could score, just to spite another team in our group.

Our opponent's goalie said eff that and single handedly saved shots for about 3min to keep it goalless

(For the record I walked off the field when I realized what was happening)

Please God let Leeds-Villa be the playoff final. No way the game ends 11v11.

I kind of feel for Leeds here. I’m all for fair play but the villa player came in dangerously from behind and got hurt. Why are Leeds obligated to put it out? Referee should stop play if he thinks it’s necessary.

I may be late to this discussion, but was Villa pissed because the Leeds LB/Winger looked like he was playing it out then sent the through ball, or was it all about the fact that they didn't play it out. I just don't understand how they could just stop playing. Players stay on the ground all the time. Play until the ref stops it.

ETA: After going back, it looks like that was the exact issue. He feigned stopping play then sent the pass.

They also kept the ball in play while Forshaw was down injured but whatever. My immediate reaction when Klich scored was “aaaayyyy we shouldn’t have done that.”

“We go again “ as they say.
