This is weird but id say we looked better than City that first half
but at the pace this is being played they will probably catch us around the 73rd min and score.

These rose colored glasses, that I’m looking through...

Refereeing has been complete shite.
Aside from that entertaining match
United definitely set the tone. But I think City dominated that final 15 minutes. I expect us to set the tone in the second and take control.
Wasn’t that long ago that United won the treble. Now they’re sticking 9 behind the ball at home against City.

Studs straight into Gundo’s shin and no foul
Yeah, cause he was playing the ball and won it. Immaterial that gundo’s shin happened to be there. Do you hate football?

How do you make a call off a foot bouncing up from the ground? He tried to keep his studs down, it bounced his foot up in the process. Sucks, but that isn’t a foul for me.

You can really tell the people who play fifa once or twice and think hey know the rules of the game.

It is a foul by the book.
It doesn’t matter what he tried to do. If he can’t keep it down then it’s a reckless challenge, by the book.

Wolves out here just playing against Arsenal like a cat toys with a mouse.

That was 20 years and a once-in-a-generation manager ago. Things can change quickly, but everybody but Arsenal and Liverpool seems to put 9 behind the ball against City, or any Guardiola side for that matter.

I didn't see the play, this sounds like you described a foul. It's kind of like hockey. If you slide in, you're expected to be in control of your feet.

Speaking of, anybody else watch the San Jose v Vegas game last night? Holy hell.

Oh take off the blue and white glasses... 1. You'd be throwing a fit if that was called a foul the other way and 2. In real time (which reminder is how refs look at it), it looked hard but fair, only in super slow mo do you see where his studs landed
My first reaction was no foul live, and so it was for everyone on the commentary team

False.
I admit to every call so as long as it’s decided properly. Go back and read the decisions in the spurs thread. Just because you’re delusional doesn’t make me the same.

I unfortunately fell asleep before all the shite went down.

I understand how it reads. I just don’t think that’s a correct application of the rule. Or, with better phrasing, probably should not be the application of the rule. You can be in control of your feet and lose that control the same as you can lose control or possession of the ball.
I’ll definitely concede there is merit there for a foul call, but I would hate seeing things like that called league-wide.

Lol. I played from the age of six through 10th grade and intramurals in college and have watched PL since I was a kid. I’ve got a decent grasp on the rules.

Thought United did well overall but Fred constantly losing the ball was killing me. City seemed to really settle in those last 10 min so I hope United can use the half to reset

Hopefully Ole tells the boys Arsenal are getting thrashed and to take it easy
