Yep.
And it will be glorious
Not necessarily. If this is the final and Italy beats both Costa Rica and Uruguay (certainly possible) and England beats Costa Rica by two, they'd likely advance.

Nah
They could easily beat Costa Rica, and Italy beat Costa Rica and Uruguay
It'd be down to tiebreakers then, but there are surely scenarios where they could go through

All of ITV would off themselves on air.

I wonder if England will turn on Suarez the way they did Ronaldo all those years ago
...and Balotelli. Yes, they will.

Hey TN, I don't think England is eliminated from anything today.

Bite your tongue. I'm in denial of him ever coming

BOOOOOOOOOOO
Pretty bad first half, to be honest.

I don't envy the British announcers who commentate for American stations. Every World Cup they watch their beloved country bow out early and have to attempt to remain impartial.

Hope the next half is infinitely more entertaining

Guess I'm wrong. Both BBC and ITV have (and are) sold this as an elimination match.

Man the movement from Suarez on that goal was perfect.... started making his run to near post, got the defender to turn, and then drifted behind him towards the back post. He could have went far post or near post and he would have scored.

I think they'll give up at about 60 minutes if this holds
They are mad as frick right now

England has always had the guy: Liniker, Gascoigne, Owen Shearer, Rooney just is not that guy and Sterling is not there yet.

I don't want to hear Ian cry

And most times they do a crappy job of remaining "impartial"....they must have mentioned the missed Uru. handball 1/2 dozen times now !

It will be. England will need to get a goal, so they will push and knowing that back 4 is so shitty they will be open for a counter.
Time to bring on more direct/attacking players, Barkely, and possibly later on Wilshere for Gerrard/Henderson.

I mean, it's pretty important, but this group could play out like our Confederations Cup group in '09
Posted on 6/19/14 at 2:51 pm to Sandperson
England has never had the guy.
