Has Argentina ever not qualified for the World Cup before?
That would be pretty shocking if they didn't make it after finishing runners-up in 2014. Netherlands looking like they could miss Russia, too. CONMEBOL qualifying is just brutal.

They're now at 1 win in 8 games without Messi this qualifying. I think Ecuador is the team that ends up missing out but damn that end of qualifying game between the two could be a playoff to get into the playoff spot.
