They have two on the outside, two on the goal line, and one by the teams?

eeeeeeh, this is a big match. Ibrahamovic posed no threat to goal. Were this Ligue Une, however....

I just wish they had someone sitting next to a video monitor to tell the head official that it wasn't a red.

Could fit it in just fine while all the players bitch at him.

Terry wanted to complain so badly he stepped on Oscar to get to the ref

I counted 8 fricking Chelsea players around the ref and 1 more was coming into the view when that vine cut off. So basically the entire fricking team minus Oscar and Courtois rushed the ref.

The two line judges very rarely call fouls, the two goal line just look for the ball to cross the line and the one by the team just handles subs

1 guy responsible for all fouls is ridiculous when the field is 120 yards long. More refs on the field = better angles to see the fouls.

The logistics would be tough. He's already got a microphone/ear plug to converse with his linesman

yes they do

no they don't. Watch the bayern pen. The goal line ref is watching the foul

edit: say there are more ref's on the field. You still have to have a head referee to make those calls, so therefore you are saying that you should just push the already existing linesmans into the field of play 5 yards to have a better view. Not gunna happen in a million years

Just have him on the same channel

I'd understand it being a bit harder to pull off if both teams didn't spend an entire minute bitching at the ref after a controversial call

Yeah just distinguishing his voice over the other 4 or 5 refs with all the players is a lot. It's a stretch

I'm not defending the Chelsea players and I don't think it was a red, but the announcers pointed out that the ref already had the red out before the players even got there.

Switched to soccer2go site and it is much smoother. The FS1 stream is total bullshite.
