For now... We're only 2 pts back now, and in great form, and some of our best players didn't play today. Race for the top 4 should be fantastic the rest of the season

Yea man pushing someone after what just happened totally justifies missing 3 games on top of being sent off and having your team play a man down in the game in question. That punishment totally fits the crime.

Barnes puts his studs well over the ball directly into Matic's leg. In addition to this he leaves the ground with his trailing foot. Watch the replay. He has all his weight on Matic's leg. It could have broken Matic's leg.

Yea studs shin high into players standing leg, no problem. Happens all the time, what's the worst that could happen?.

Dude, it's not a matter of punishment fitting crime. It's just the rule. You attack an opponent that's a red and 3 game ban. If it was my choice I would have preferred Matic hit him harder, and I would personally give him no ban because Barnes totally deserved it.

I think the bigger issue is with people thinking this is a "Chelsea Thug" or that Chelsea breeds hate among its players. This isn't a thug reaction but shows a natural reaction many of us would have. The ref screwed Chelsea over this game. The refs have done this to many teams all year. I'm glad to see the media really call out Atkinson and Barnes over this incident and hopefully the FA will take action.
