The difference in intensity was nuts. Everyone for Barca save Messi and Busquets looked like they rolled off the bus because they had to and thought they'd sleepwalk through this leg.

Mane's pressing and conditioning is absolutely unbelievable. Henderson gets a lot of stick on here but he played damn well, as did Fabinho, Gini, and Origi.

Alba was horrendous, I'm not sure he even had a cross clear his defender once, and his failed dribble directly led to Pool's 3rd goal. Messi's blunder in the 20th minute or so 1-on-1 with Alisson came back to haunt them.

In some ways, Barca mimicked Pool's performance at Camp Nou. They weren't as energetic or dominant in phases as Pool were, but they were just as profligate in front of goal, and then steadily lost drive as the game went on.

Messi's chance, Alba's chance and Suarez's chance were as good as or better than any of Pool's chances. You have to finish one of those.

Yeah he did really well too. He was really the anchor around which the team turned and his quick winning of the ball allowed Pool to remain in the transition phase, which continually put Barca on the back foot.
