They mentioned the shitty attendance in Spain for this Italy game but didn't really explain why. Is it just that this is the number of people that have interest in the game? I would think these two teams could sell out most stadiums in America.

It´s a friendly, and it´s midweek. Friendlies are normally on weekends.

Yeah this is odd considering these are two of the best teams in Europe.

Some kid invaded the pitch at the South Africa-Brasil match. This is the result:

The warnings are clear.

Chile are going to be a menace at the World Cup. I will ban myself to Crimea if this is not the case.

The national team plays, what, 12 matches a year. I just figured Spain and Italy would sell out soccer crazed country. These are the finalists in Euro 2012.

They´ve played Italy a lot lately, and this is in Madrid. Were it another city, a second tier provincial capital, it would be packed.

That seems like a way bigger number than whatever it may be in Spain.

Looks like 30k empty in Spain. I figure if England were playing Spain, Germany, or Italy at home this might have sold out.

A. The English like fooling themselves into thinking that they'll win the WC

B. This match isn't even being played in the big Spanish stadium.

C. The Spanish economy is terrible.
