Keep defending the USSF and the shite show they are.

We didn’t play GGG Thursday night. We didn’t play out if the back and sideways along the back line for wide span of times during the game. We may have attached the final 3rd the same but we are didn’t play GGG ball.

Huh? I'm not defending the USSF at all.

You don't think we played out of the back last night?

Thanks for telling everyone that you have no idea what you're watching.

Also, LOL at you saying I'm blinded when you're the one advocating for BJ to be the fricking coach of the USMNT when before Thursday, that dude had never been a head coach at any level of soccer.

I mean, c'mon dude, be better.

We did but the didn’t play ping pong with the back line. Gio and Weston came back to the ball and either played it long across over the top or down the line and allowed Dest and Jedi to overlap. Exposing the space behind their wingbacks was the game plan and that didn’t happen under GGG playing Ping Pong with the back line at the halfway line would have prevented this. There wouldn’t have been enough space to play it over the top.

All of this was implemented under Gregg. BJ and Pulisic both said this after the match.

You're looking at the result and not the process towards the result.

What else are they going to say? Gregg didn’t do this but we tried it and it worked. How would that go over?

I rewatched the game last night and tactically we set up in a mid block similar to what we did with England in the WC. Even Pulisic said after the game that what we did against Mexico was because of how Gregg trained this team in his tactical model. I can’t imagine being so blinded by my hatred of a coach to say I want his assistant, after one game, who plays the same game plan.

There was a guy on the US soccer show on XM yesterday saying that Greggggggg has never won anything Jason was like "well what about the nations and gold cup trophies in 21?" And the guy said well me and you could've won those coaching lol.

I don't want him back either, but the rage is hilarious

The rage is that it’s obvious that GGG is good enough for CONCACAF but not good enough to push up into the quarters or semis of a WC. The fact we aren’t even trying as a federation to improve that spot is crazy. The narrative that “he got out of the group so he earned it” is a big part of the problem.

Dude, in this thread you said you would rather a guy who has never been a head coach before.

Do you not see the hypocrisy there?

Imagine having so little options that you have to re-sign a guy who beat the shite out of his wife

Respectfully, I think you are missing my point of view. GGG is the equivalent to Les Miles, Matt Luke, Mari Rict, etc. aren’t bad but still holding back programs. And us fans that have lived through programs like that see it because we have been down this road. We see it. It is a flawed plan. So yes, anyone but him because regardless of him having a terrible showing in the Copa (which on talent alone we should make it pretty far), he will be the coach in 26 and the feel is we didn’t even try to find someone else to see if they could take it to new heights. So because of this decision in 2023, we are going to end up with the same results again in our home WC because the USSF refused to open up the check book and go explore other options.

BJ Callaghan is not a better option than Gregg... I'm sorry, but that's just a ridiculous opinion.

At this point it would never happen anyway that’s kind of the point. I’m on the anyone but GGG train because even if the next one fails we have time before 26 to explore options again.

I mean, that's the case for Gregg as well.

If we have poor showings in Copa America next year and in the Confederations Gold Cup in 25, he will be fired.
