No he didn’t.
He was just saying both teams spend a ton.
Because they do
Man City net spend in the last 5 years = $-734.10m
Liverpool net spend in the last 5 years = $-131.72m
Man United net spend in the last 5 years = $-592.63m
Liverpool had 3 windows where they actually turned a profit in the transfer market. Norwich are the only other club in the top flight that can say the same. The insistence that Liverpool spends near the same neighborhood of city and united is absurd, and the number of posters that choose that hill to die on when the data is so easily accessible is astounding.
If you go back 10 years, city is over 1 billion in net spend. Liverpool is at 297 million. So yes, Liverpool does spend a lot of money. It's comical to put them in the same breath as city though

I’ve said it many times. I don’t get why people get shite on for spending
Who cares. Spend! Act like an Alpha

Posted on 2/14/20 at 1:10 pm to Caplewood

Ok net spend at this level of club is so dumb
No one gives a shite about turning a profit on players due to massive amounts of money from other revenue streams.
Liverpool is still spending money on players and lots of it. They were able to shed lots of dead weight and get money back and spend with it.
But you act like Liverpool don’t spend is flat out dishonest
They are still a top 4 club in amount of money spend since the EPL started in 92
And in the old first division they spent like gang busters in their years of dominance

Y'all are ridiculous.
Net spend is a stupid fricking metric. You are rewarding yourself for selling your best players.
No City fan will deny that we spend shite loads of money on players. You don’t need to prop up dumb stats to make yourself feel better.

Nothing is going on with Liverpool today mate. I could start a thread about having a 22 point lead, but this is a more current event

Putting a future on City winning the Champions League this year is very tempting.

im not talking about today, today is big news. Im saying for the last 2 seasons, any time city does anything, its always Liverpool fans jumping in asap. its frightening.

I'm not arguing that. I'm stating that city spend a lot more. It's a wide gap, as wide as the table between 1st and 4th. I mean...we're discussing FFP sanctions here are we not?

If/When City appeal, I hope they punish them worse
Posted on 2/14/20 at 1:16 pm to Riseupfromtherubble
We all know City spend way beyond clubs means that’s nothing new
But you had to pull out the victim act and throw shade at another poster when we could have kept it just about laughing at City but you had to inject Liverpool some how

Oh please. This is a message board. Yea, I'm going to "throw shade" at fans of the indicted club, specifically fans that have debated the subject of money with me when it pertains to the team I support. That's the basis of a message board, take your victim straw man elsewhere and have a laugh
