City looking a lot like City again.

Amazing what happens when you add another striker to the roster.

Haaland’s pass to Foden for 3rd goal…

Way too early impression; but, seeing Marmoush’s speed gave me some Leroy Sané flashbacks. He definitely helped open up the attack. Would love to see what he and Doku could do when paired up.

Khusanov settled in after a disastrous first few minutes.

Team still needs a CDM as a backup to Rodri.

He looked really good after that. Once he settles he's gonna be a force. Him and Dias (Ruben, not the Brazilian) could be solid.

I'm in the minority in that I think Sane was seriously overrated by City fans but yeah. He does the same thing prime Leroy did. The bonus is he isn't shy going central and won't hesitate to shoot. Should boost Haaland as well.

Kinda funny how shite we've been for 2 months now and we're still top 4

I looked forward to Pep making second half changes back in the day. Leroy and Bernardo coming on. It was almost expected that a goal was coming.

It’s been an odd season for sure. Hate that it’s been largely handed to Liverpool without a fight. Credit to them though. So many injuries and some missteps with new talent (Phillips, Kayky, Grealish, Nunes, etc) plus the exodus of Alvarez, Mahrez and even Gabby are hurting us right now.

Will be interesting to see who leaves after the season. I suspect Gundo, Eddy, Stones and KDB are all on the short list,

Agreed. As big of a KDB fan I am I think the writing has been on the wall for some time now. The CL against Chelsea where he broke his face, the following CL against Inter either the hammy. The injuries have piled up and he hasn’t played like himself for a while. We get glimpses of old KDB. Maybe he will sign a team friendly deal to stay and retire at City but in these new days of Saudi money, he could make more in 2-3 years than he ever made in England.

I didn't buy it anyway. Arsenal were always gonna be up for this one and we just don't have the bodies right now.

They proved Haaland's point though

That was rough. Figured a draw after the Haaland goal and then the roof collapsed. It’s gonna be a rough month or so but excited to see the new guys integrate. Idk why but I feel like we have a puncher’s chance against Real.

Indeed. They're going to look really stupid when Liverpool wins the league anyway. But hey, congrats to Arsenal for being the champions of "putting the pressure on" the eventual league winners.

I haven't been following as much this season as prior - what does this thread think of the massive spending in the window?

Is it good enough for us to be title contenders again next year with Rodri? Will it help us make the UCL this year?

Is what it is. Didn't do much this summer though we needed a refresh, did it in January instead. Gonzalez and Marmoush should kill it going forward.

Need another midfielder and a RB. Possibly GK depending on what Ederson does.

Win UCL? No. Top 4? Probably.

For show. Little worried about Haaland injury for Real. Not that I’m very confident about winning that leg anyway (no pun intended)

Honestly wouldn't be mad to sit him. We aren't beating them, we aren't winning it, we need to hold top 4.
