I’ll take the W. Idk where KDB has been but he just seems uninterested in quality we are used to. I think the Ake goal was a pass to Haaland that went in.

Well the Cancelo rumors appear to be true. That leaves us pretty thin.

Was just coming to post about this. Wtf. I assume there’s a plan to bring someone in?

Lewis and Ake I assume. You can't drop Ake right now but he doesn't bring as much going forward as I'd like.

Cancelo is one of my favorite players
hate seeing him go to Bayern

Was hoping we could swap him with Theo. Maybe Davies comes in summer?

Reading that he has been negative in the locker room. I was a fan as well. Especially after he was attacked in his hole last season. Rico has been evolving well but I expected Cancelo to be in City for a while.

One thing I tend to trust Pep on when departures don't make sense is the locker room aspect
Although Jesus/Zinchenko didn't have any of that, made it more difficult to see them go

Gotta think something along these lines happens. Bayern aren't going to pay that fee and he's not coming back here.

If rumors are to be believed, Zinny was a VERY popular player in the locker room.

Cancelo with an assist 17 minutes into his debut...

.....against Mainz?
I mean maybe he'll regain his form IDK but there was clearly an issue at City. He was shite most of the season and as electric as he can be we need fullbacks that can defend. I'd rather he stayed because we're thin as frick but it is what it is.

Didn’t he not play during WC as well? Thought I read that as well. Oh well I was a fan.

Got benched IIRC.
Don't get me wrong, when the back line was solid and could afford to have Cancelo play basically as a purely offensive wingback he was great. Ask any more of him and it generally didn't work out well. IF, and that's a BIG IF, the rumors about him, Dias, Foden, and Pep are true then he had to go.

Sooooooo….Arsenal drop points and are now on equal games as us. It may come down to whether we can beat them twice in league. Or we could drop to Spurs tomorrow and deflate my optimism.
