Nice win. Note to self: take off Onefootball notifications so I don’t get spoilers before I can get home and watch the game.
That’s a funky lineup for sure. Don’t know if it’ll work against PL teams.

Shakhtar looked fine until the first goal. This is definitely going to be the easiest group we've ever been in

Frick it. We lost. Got outplayed and out coached. Idk what’s happening because I’m new to soccer (1+year) but we look like we couldn’t score with no defenders. I’m glad this is happening at the beginning of the season but if we get double digits behind Liverpool, that’s a wrap. I kinda feel like after last year it’s their time anyways.
I also feel like Pep is all in on CL instead of PL this year.

You will likely need some defenders in the champions as well unfortunately.

Signing 15 50M attacking mids probably wasn't the most sound team building decision.

We're down our best LB, arguably our 2 best CBs, the best CM in the league if not the world, and a damn solid LW.

I wanted to sign another CB as bad as anyone but CDM was far more important.

If we lose the league to liverpool this year it'll be due to them being flat out STUPID good/lucky (much like we were last season) and injuries. I would rather go three in a row, but we may as well go balls out for CL.

Last year, City were down 7 as late as week 20 (December 30). There is time to make up the deficit for sure.

In reality, though, this Liverpool team looks almost unbeatable. They have no major injuries and they are just humming along like City did in 2017/18. The only team capable of taking points from Liverpool at this point is City.

Let's not get carried away. Leicester made a boneheaded play in the 95' to lose points. We're a great team, but we're a Virgil or Bobby injury away from being a really good team. Napoli took it to us in Naples

We also had drawn Pool once already at this point.

It isn’t likely to happen, but we could take six points directly off of them still.

Long way to go yet.

problem is, we could still drop even more points before going in the right direction. we just haven't looked good. Need United to finally do something next week

Yeah, so three weeks since a post.

Team seems to be improving. Won matches in Premier League, Champions League, and Carabao Cup. Have looked decent doing it.

Liverpool have also dropped points.

I imagine SCH will be along shortly to call this the “Emptythread”...

I wouldn’t say we had a really bad stretch. Looked good against Spurs and Norwich, just didn’t get the breaks.

Wolves flat out beat us.

That's because we've seen more of Phil.

we weren't very good against Brighton, tho score doesnt seem like it. And losing to a relegation team is bad.

Ederson not so good in that one.

Biggest determination of team performance is probably whether KDB plays or not.
