Has anyone heard anything about TDP Elite? The only thing I have heard is that this is some sort of alliance program between BRSC, LA Fire, and Lafayette Dynamo.

Link mentions "national league" for boys starting this fall.

I know nothing about Louisiana soccer, but...

There's been a massive shift in elite level youth soccer over the last year since US Soccer disbanded its Development Academy. With the MLS backed academies, ECNL/ECPL, Girls Academy League, etc. there are all kinds of new elite level competitions looking to make money. The leagues are usually comprised of the top players from each club separately from whatever home league they are already a part of.

I say all of this to mention that a lot is in the process of shaking out at the moment, but most of it is a cash grab.

If it's anything like the Alabama FC program, I would say that's a GIANT step in the right direction for Louisiana youth soccer.

That’s pretty cool. They’ll have to do this to compete in the ECNL. My son plays in the GSPL (Gulf States Premier League) with BRSC, MSC and LA Fire...but to compete at the level above this our area would need a super team.

If the invites were based on coaches picks (not his kids, but impressive opponents) it would get the most traction. You KNOW the other coaches are aware of your best players after playing a couple of times. No tryouts...invite 25 kids and run camps, invite 16-18 to travel to matches.

After U13 ends, the best kids need to move on.

It does

That site predates TD. I'm a little surprised it is still around, but it seems to be as active as ever during the season. It's pretty slow off-season.

Great progress for a state that is way behind in soccer development and off the recruiting map for major colleges.
