I appreciate all that Milner has contributed to this team through the years but we have to find a better plug in the midfield.
We desperately need Thiago back to open things up and maybe get Salah going. He’s been a ghost so far this season. Gets pushed out too wide and can’t do anything but play a pass back to Trent or Elliot.
Darwin looked pretty good. He just needs some more play time to get settled.
Disappoint result though. Of course dinosaur arms Pickford decides makes all the saves today…such an annoying person.

Ox and Keita left out of the CL squad.
Stick a fork in Keita, he done.

Yes I'm sure its Klopp sitting there saying "were good" at this point..
Our frugal and calculated approach to transfers will leave some frustrated but at least it will keep us sustained and avoid the early 2010s situation that Man U is now currently in.
Just relax. We won a title two years ago and it was always going to be a massive struggle against City.
Long as Pep and the money stays there, we're playing for top 4 for the most part.

Not sure about this - CL is shorter season this year due to World Cup. I'm wondering if his injury is serious enough that he was unlikely to play most of the games anyway.

Yeah, its just shite luck we have Klopp exactly when City has Pep. Our point totals most of the last 5 years would be enough to win the league almost every year.

Eh. Scored 9 a week ago, Newcastle mid week is a tough draw and should have beaten Everton.
Things are rusty but it’ll get figured out. Always does.
It’s nice just enjoying the season and not caring anymore.
Again, not sure many of you guys were around after Torres left and Paul fricking konchesky was our left back.

Still 5 points behind City, even with how disastrous we've been. We'd have to make a miraculous turn around though at this point.

I’d say Liverpool can focus on CL and other cups.
Dropping 9 points in 6 games pretty much gives the league to Man City.
I remember Chelsea won the CL and finished 6th in the league
once I'm not sure I can take that deal but it gives me pause

Qualifying for Champions League is too high on the priority list to do this.

I’m not ready to officially concede the league but I’m this won’t be like last year when we were able to make up points mid season.
Just one example - An injury to Haaland and city will be dropping points. Also withy the World Cup coming all sorts of weird things could happen during the season.
However it all starts with Liverpool righting the ship. If city drop 10 points before Xmas it won’t matter if we drop another 12.
Thiago back to training which is huge.

Millie in the midfield today.

Deserved 1-0 too despite Milner sticking his hand out for no reason. This team is infuriating.

I can handle being competitive and dropping points, but once again they’re coming out flat, zero creativity, defense is unorganized, and almost zero offensive threats.
Would be happy to eat my words later but not looking good being a goal down in the first 6 mins.
Milner with a handball and a yellow card already

What world are you living in? Cause I’m reality we’re gonna be lucky to make top 4. We look like absolute shite.
James Milner would be nowhere near the starting lineup on a serious contending team.

And VVD with another awful tackle.
Whole team looks off. Will be lucky to get out of the group stage and lucky to finish top 6 in EPL at this rate. frick this.
