Here is a link to the most recent TAW podcast which featured an interview with BR. It is only a half hour and worth a listen. In it he says that a senior player remarked how Mingolet reminded him of Reina when he arrived in 2005. Now that Carra is gone, Stevie's the only one left from that side, right?

I remember reading an interview from a random academy player a couple seasons ago. Don't remember where I read it and I don't remember who the player was.
Anyway, in the interview he is asked who is the best player he ever played against in training. I remember he trained with the first team on and off from about 2004 to 2006/07. You can get an idea of all the players that he trained with in that range of years.
Well his answer was Pepe Reina. Said literally nobody in training, even Gerrard, could beat Reina on his best days.

Konoplyanka is an absolute beast. I remember his goal against England at Wenbley, it was a corker. Very good winger, good ball control and good shots from a distance.

Pretty sure all my coaches when I was younger would be banned for a lengthy period for some of the words and phrases on that list

I mean, I believe that phrase has transcended the meaning of just homosexuality... hell my gay friends use it (or that's gay)..

I just thought it was kind of funny that they have to point out the most obvious phrase. I guess they have to cover all their bases, and sure it has taken on a different meaning in some ways. But you'd think the "unusable phrases fighting racism and sexuality" wouldn't have to include some of the most obvious ones
