Off a cross, they had someone get free from Johnson far post and head it across. Skrtel went for an acrobatic clearance and knocked it in.
Our attack looked good, lot of chances, just weren't able to convert a few we should have. But Suarez also got the luck of an in form striker on the last goal. Hit one from outside the 18 that was deflected and just hit underneath the crossbar and went in.

Not a bad week!
This will be correct tomorrow

I really wouldn't mind seeing Everton lose tomorrow. I want to create some separation between the top 4 and 5th place.
ETA: Actually, a draw would be best.

I concede Arsenal will finish top 4, so they can keep on winning as long as I'm concerned... May be wrong of me to concede 1st, but I just wanna get back in Europe for now... That may change as the season progresses and we stay close, of course...
Also, Sakho should be a fixture at LCB... And Joe Allen looked really good, too...

I totally agree with this. From a season perspective, I am almost ready to concede Arsenal, Citeh and Chelsea will take top 4. The latter 2 are scuffling around but they have the money to spend whatever is needed to fix their issues in January.
Obviously MANU looks to be the team that we should target finishing ahead of with Tottenham, Everton and possibly Newcastle fighting it out with us for 4th/5th. I have no idea if they even can, but I would love for Chelsea to take back Lukaku from Everton in January.
This week went a long way to help right the wrong that we inflicted on ourselves last week against Hull. Oh to have won that one...

And since this post is a milestone, get well soon lads...

Everyone really looked good. Joe Allen did well, and Sterling seemed to finally have a breakthrough game, albeit poor in finishing (but who wasn't?). I know most were own goals but we earned every single one. Great display to keep the pressure up.
Please God, let the Gerrard substitution be precautionary. We desperately need him.

Joe Allen was 66/72 passing. Led the team. Take a bow son.

So, who is your lineup for Spurs??
I'm thinking it will remain the same, with Lucas coming in for Stevie (assuming he's out. I cant necessarily argue, although I wouldn't mind seeing a Toure/Sakho pairing in the back...

United losing is the best part of today.
frick those count. Dominate England for 20 years then leave OT with time left on the clock down 1 to Newcastle. What a fricking joke.

I liked what we had today. Agreed on Lucas for Steve. Unless you want to move Henderson there, but Moses can frick right off, so yeah Lucas.

I'd like to see our best arial defenders. Yids can put a head on the ball very well. Sakho for sure, and Toure is probably the second best at that.
