Fun fact: Jordan Henderson has scored the same amount of league goals as Oscar, Nani, Valencia, Young, Welbeck, Ramsey and Wilshere combined.

More fun fact:You'd rather have any of those players over Henderson.

Wilshere and Valencia are the only ones I'd consider.

It doesn't matter. Doesn't change the fact that Henderson has scored the same number of goals as all of them combined. And no I won't, you might, I won't and I mean it. And that's the last thing I'll say about it cuz I don't want to get into a meaningless argument with you over this.

Quite clearly this is another miserable attempt by Bho at trolling.

I am not a fan of Valencia. Maybe, if I was forced to pick one I would pick Oscar.

In other news: Stevie G was taken off apparently because of a stretched hamstring.

Not too worried. He was playing on it, so no bid deal. Although no way he sits himself out of the derby.

From LFCStats page: Of the 10 midfielders in Roy Hodgson's last England squad, only Frank Lampard has more goals/assists per minute than Jordan Henderson in 2012-13.
quote:

Lampard goal/assist every 132 minutes
Henderson goal/assist every 142 minutes
Gerrard goal/assist every 174 minutes
Milner goal/assist every 227 minutes
Oxlade-Chamberlaine goal/assist every 243 minutes
Osman goal/assist every 429 minutes
Cleverly goal/assist every 443 minutes
Ashley Young goal/assist every 457 minutes
Carrick goal/assist every 555 minutes
Parker goal/assist every 1141 minutes

Maybe Wilshere, but Hendo brings things to the table he doesnt...

I like Valencia, but dont think he fits what we're doing...

I like Oscar, but we got our own Brazilian...

frick off on the rest of them... i think i'd keep Hendo..

Henderson is a complete midfielder in many ways. Great passing range and terrific technical ability. Willing to play in an advanced role, or in a deeper role. Has played virtually every position in the midfield for LFC, along with winger and right back, which shows tremendous dedication and adaptability. Has a great motor as well, and an eye for goal when the time comes.

I have always been an admirer of Valencia. Definitely would fit a lot better in Dalglish's team, but could still be effective to an extent for Rodgers.

Wilshere is someone I would love to have, though question the role he would have.

Oscar is a good young player, but he needs to be played centrally to truly be effective - something Rodgers probably wouldn't let him do. Coutinho has been superb on the outside, and Oscar..well..hasn't.

All I can say is thanks Spurs. If they didn't get Sigurdsson and Dempsey, we probably wouldn't have gotten Coutinho and Sturridge.

Agreed. Which is why I had faith when Rodgers decided to let him go to Spurs. He knew the exact price where Sigurdsson would be a good signing, and the subsequent price where he wouldn't.

I know we were desperate for help in January, and got caught star gazing a bit with Sneijder (at least I did)... but also glad he went to Gala...

I was stoked for Coutinho and have high hopes for him... His ceiling is so much higher than the guys we lost to Spurs, too... He's only 20!! We got a bargain.. I still contend that if he'd had stayed at Vasco until this year, he'd have been rated and priced right up there with Oscar, Lucas, etc...

I'm rethinking my AMF transfer strategy now (like they ask my opinion)... It may not be bad to bring in and older, cheaper AMF while Cou develops a little more and spend more transfer £ on a wide forward... Ive always liked Honda and he is out of contract soon, could be had cheap and pay for his wages in shirt sales...
