Does anyone know what channel it is on? Finns doesn't have it on their online schedule, so I'm guessing I'm not going to go.....

They just haven't updated their site to include today, they will definitely be showing it.

Anyone get the impression that we're passing backwards way too often? I feel like we constantly have servable lateral options and we're playing negatively instead of picking our head up and finding the open man.

It's just wierd to see them make the short sensible pass back in our own third after watching them hoof it up and play the long ball all last season. Sometimes the back pass is the right pass in possession football...why do you think Barca completes 400+ passes each match? I agree it lacks aggression, but I think that's just something we have to get accustomed to...at least until Rodgers' system is fully installed.

Well its not that I have a problem with dropping the ball back. It's that we have open lateral options when we do it, and decide to go backward instead.

SPEARING!

I understand retaining possession, but at some point you have to press forward. Spearing rarely makes a forward pass.

Thankfully, I don't think you'll see a lot of him once the season starts. Lucas at 80% is still way better than the wee man.

We wont. He brings nothing to the table. Decent passer and decent defender. Panics on the ball and brings no "X factor." Lucas is better in every category AND is a serious ball winner.

It's not even close...his career is playing for a bottom table side. I think he showed last year that he can stay on the pitch in the top division, but not for a team with top 4 aspirations.

I agree with you. I think he is EPL quality, but no way is he LFC quality. He has his moments, and perhaps his progression stalled because he was thrown to the fire, but I just don't see how he fits in to the squad. I think Rodgers is trying to mold him into a Joe Allen, but I don't see it working.

Does anyone follow the Empire of the KOP on twitter? From his tweets I get that he drank a pint of whiskey? Ended up in the hospital? What?

I guess it was just never gonna happen. A shame. I really wanted to see him this year.
