I'm really happy about this signing and is way beyond what i thought we'd pull off this January...

Reading the Inter forums, they are absolutely livid that they are selling him and are even more pissed at how cheaply they have let him go...

For the money we paid for him, we have a potential world class signing... and if it doesn't pan out, we really didnt pay too much for him (and I cant believe he would have outrageous wage demands).

a sample post from that forum:

OH MY DEAR frickING SON OF A MOTHER GOD! THIS JUST CAN'T GET ANY MORE PATHETIC! IT CAN'T!!!

I wonder if this means we won't try Eriksen in the summer. I hope it doesn't. I would really really like us to snag that Dane. Maybe have Agger put in a word.

I doubt we chase him. Coutinho was bought to be a starting player for the next 5 years.

Yep. As much as I would love to see it happen, I don't think we'll pursue either.

I still hope we go after him... I'm not so sure it was an either or situation...

I can see Cou playing on the left of an attacking 3 and CE playing as a CAM, where JH is playing now (JH eventually replacing Stevie)...

In reading Rodgers latest interviews, he wants a very fluid attacking side...

Im really excited for the future... If we can hold on to Luis, it should be bright...

I think he'll wait and see. BR has 5 months to see how he likes the way his attack is set up. At this point, we really are full of options to play with our front 4.

And honestly I think Henderson's done a fantastic job as the guy that sits in the hole with Suarez dropping to help out. He's got the energy to press as soon as we lose possession and he's been more of a secondary runner finding open holes to occupy lanes while Gerrard's able to sit a little deeper and pick out passes as a deep distributor.

We'll see how it works out but we have options for that spot right now and for the future with Coutinho or Suso.

I just hope everyone doesnt expect him to be a world beater (coutinho), from day one... and lets him adjust to this league and the style of play...

I think we'll see the magic from the start, but it may take him awhile to do it consistently..

My only worry is that we have a few talented young guys that need games, with only a couple spots that are somewhat vacant. And that doesn't include guys like Downing who's been playing better and Assaidi who hasn't gotten much of a chance for unknown reasons but has flashed some skill on the wing. Hope BR can keep a solid rotation to give everyone the time they need to develop, but it will be nice that we aren't near as reliant on our teenagers to perform weekly.

Assaidi

I think he'll be gone in the summer... Ive read that he was wanted by Ajax this past summer and it has been suggested that he may be a makeweight in a deal, if we still decide to go after Eriksen...

I'm undecided on Downing... I think he is playing well now, but is about as good as he is going to get... If we really want to get to the next level, we need to upgrade. I think he would be great to keep as a squad player, but he's on high wages for that...

Suso I can def see going out on loan, probably not now, but in the summer...

I think Suso has to go on loan now. I just don't see him playing much now.

I'm not sure 100%, but I can see him coming on as a sub against City next week.

I would like Suso to go on loan to possibly Reading and play consistently through the end of the season. And I think BR has been playing Stevie and Hendo very intelligently. In the Norwich game neither were fixed to their positions. One fell back if the other played up and vice versa.
I would love to get Eriksen. Just look at the mancs and shitty. The secret to a champion team is having multiple first rate options at each position. We should try the same but instead of paying princely sums just catch them young.

Ngoo scored on his debut for Hearts. Danny Wilson assisted him.

Ngoo also made his penalty in the shoot out.

Coutinho has pace, something Eriksen doesn't. If he plays the way he is capable of we probably pass on Eriksen, IMO.
