It just looks like we're getting further away instead of closer. And as much as I drag Andy through the mud, we held possession most of the first half and had multiple crosses through the box where he should be contributing...but KK waits til the 80' to bring him on.

Probably because we've seen multiple games where bringing him on seemed the right thing to do and when we did the little offense we did have before was completely negated.

He just has to be on good or bad right? He was horrible against Everton, but at the end of the day he had a goal and sometimes that's good enough.

We don't have anyone who just lingers when Suarez is creating so the onus is on him to always score.

As much as I hate the little bitch, we need a chicharito...

I don't know how you can possibly hate him first off, works hard, fantastic player and there isn't a bad word said about him from anyone.

Being a Manc and a Mexican I should hate him more than anyone, but I cannot do it. fricking love the kid. Never want him to score against Pool, or the US but after that I hope he scores hundreds.

But my god he'd be perfect for us.

Torres and Suarez together btw. Stupid arse Fernando

I dont like anyone that plays for ManUre... Just seeing him in that shirt is enough for me, I dont care about the Mexican part...

I think Welliton from Spartak Moscow could be an affordable goal poacher, clinical finisher...

Of course he's on Porto's radar, so he will probably go to them for £7 million and be sold for £30 in two years...

Why not? At this point it seems like the biggest problem is the inability to convert opportunities. We've tried Downing and Henderson with Suarez up top, Kuyt and Suarez, Bellamy and Suarez...someone has got to fricking get in goal.

So disappointing..

We need a goal scorer in the baddest way. I would have liked to see KK start Carroll today. Other than him we dont have a single player on the team whose sole purpose is to score goals.

Im not worried about Newcastle, but I dont see Tottenham losing to Blackburn tomorrow. We need 4th in order to recruit the players.

Kuyt needs to see the bench. He can't continue playing as a forward. I know everyone loves him, but I just can't stand it. His offensive presence is invisible. He never seems to be in the box and seems to play more defense than offense. I understand his work rate is unmatched, but we need fricking goals.

Next game I want to see:

Suarez-Carroll-Downing

Carroll was in for 10 minutes and had a nice headed pass to Suarez (he was barely off) and then narrowly missed a goal. We need to be disciplined while he is in and not just throw up balls to him ever possession. He is often times double teamed and it ends up making him look terrible.

This is so valuable against United, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, and Tottenham but I think I agree with you when it comes to the lesser sides.

Someone like him can stifle an attacking winger or free moving midfielder, but there are times I'd rather see the better offensive player on.

I just think he would be so much more valuable coming off the bench. Bring him in the ~65th and he would wear out any opposing side.

Like we've all said, the chances are there. We just need someone to finish them. And as we saw today, Suarez was literally the only player getting in the box consistently.

this... dude has a monster work rate, but it doesn't equate to anything....

its seems to me, there's a lot of "watching" going on with Liverpool.... players seem unsure of where they are supposed to attack going forward with Suarez, and being they are all relatively new playing with each other, they are not familiar with how the ball comes off the foot of their new teammate...

i think we have some good pieces (one too many in the midfield, that we may need to look at moving for another striker, if you ask me), but they don't know exactly what to expect out of each other on the pitch... that will come with time as they play together more and more, but for now, they are getting their feet wet out there, and because they were/are great players for Pool or other teams, we figure it'd be a seamless transition once they were all on the same roster.... not quite how it's worked out thus far...

that being said, we are light years behind Citeh, but we are catching up to an aging Chelski, and could possibly (with the right personnel on the field) match ManUre in a year.... but Citeh looks too good right now, and all that money they have spent has paid big dividends.... they will win the Barclays this year, and it's really just a fight to finish 2nd, i'm afraid....

It's going to be tough to catch up to City's spending... We dont have the money to do that, we are in the second tier of Money teams. We cant afford to make many mistakes when spending big (they can just write it off).

Chelsea has been quiet for a while but in the last year or so, they have pulled out the wallet to overhaul an old team...

The gap is getting wider...

I've been questioning Kenny's tactics more and more recently.

4 wins in 9 games isn't going to cut it.

I know the team still needs to gel. But man this is frustrating. Frankly, this team has sucked to watch so far this year. Very little excitement and a whole lot of disappointment. The Norwich match was emotionally draining to watch.

I think at this point Carroll needs to start. It really sucks he didn't start this weekend, it was a great match to regain form. There were several excellent crosses into the box that he would have had to work with.

I see what you're saying, but if he's in the game, then NOTHING else that happened in the game is the same.

So those crosses might not happen for whatever reason. Obviously in theory he should be playing though.

Well of course I understand that. I was just saying that the overall quality of the crosses yesterday were higher than normal. I know if he's in then the crosses aren't the same, but I assumed the quality of them would be.

well availability of them might not be judging by how much he ties up our offensive attack by being a lumbering goon, but hopefully that changes.

He did have a great chance late on an inch perfect cross but missed.

And he had a nice layoff to Suarez (he was off though).

that was really his only contribution and that was really nice. Did a lot of work on that play.

What I didn't understand though, was: why was he dropping so deep into the midfield when he came on? He was in sort of that Rooney role where he becomes a midfielder and picks up possession way up the pitch. Why though? He's not good enough with the ball to seemingly make up for the space he creates behind him.

I could be wrong on that though

I noticed that also. I have no idea what Kenny was doing there.
