Yeah... I don't think Quansah is good enough for us... maybe as a 4th option.. but I would sell (pure profit), if an offer came in for him...

Reminds me of, “Stay here and they'll build a statue in your honor. Go somewhere else, and you will be just another player.”

Trent won two League titles and a UCL with us... He may yet get a trophy.

Honestly, at the end of the day I don't have an issue with him leaving for Madrid... He's served us well and we won a lot of trophies with him..

What I have a problem with is, is him letting his contract wind down and leaving for free, which I'm sure lines his pockets with a bigger signing on fee... He could have re-upped with a gentlemen's agreement that we would let him go and we still get a fee.. for that, frick him!

I don't wish him ill will or anything like that, but won't feel bad for him if he gets the Owen treatment from the fans in the future...

Going to be interesting when he flies back into Liverpool to go see his mama. I'm the locals and local media will totally be calm and rational and not have any sort of drama

Most players allow their agents to drive the process. I am ALL about loyalty and that stuff, but a man has his own needs and desires in life. If he wants to experience a different part of the world, test his mettle elsewhere, etc., I feel like he has more than earned that right having won everything there is to win with Liverpool.

Does the money thing suck for Liverpool? Yeah, absolutely. But the proper way to handle that is to sign another top talent that won’t be questionable to produce. Character assassination is not a great look for an entity as big and global as Liverpool.

I think his agent is his brother.. they handled this very poorly, IMO.. I don't for one minute believe he only decided in March.. and I think RM helped orchestrate it behind the scenes..

Like I said, I don't begrudge him moving on in the end, its how he did it... He knew what he was doing.. I won't actively root against him personally and will be curious how he performs with Madrid and all that talent around him..

The supporters of the club will hold him to a different standard because he is a scouser, as well... He'll prob be thought of a slightly better than Owen and that's only because Owen went on to play for United.. I think he would have been seen in a different light in the long run if he got the club a £100mm pay day on his way out..

I'm still excited for the future of this club and believe signing Mo and VVD were more important for our immediate future.. it will allow the club to properly plan and transition for life without them... hopefully they get it right!

With us winning the PL, I wish Trent the best and welcome him back in 5 years on a free. He costs us nothing on fair play since he was an inhouse kid. I trust the LFC staff on judging talent. We go again

That's why not getting a transfer fee for him is a huge miss, in the days of PSR... anyway, he's gone.. LFC will be fine!

Yep. He is a selfish prick.

This has been my take the entire time. It's easier to do that when you've won tons of trophies, have plenty of Int'l caps and are already worth millions. But he still took a gamble on his health as a way to maximize his signing $. I hope he wins the Balloon while he's there but it'd be tough to stomach Madrid knocking us out of the CL at Anfield with Trent dressed all in white.

He had a massive contract at LFC as his fall back option, so I am not buying this take at all. He did what he felt he needed to do to get the real offer, which was screw LFC over.
