I'm going to focus on the positives.

1)I've been impressed with our style of play. We look dangerous.

2) Cameron's brain fart excluded, our backline has looked formidable.

3) Deuce brought his goal scoring shoes to Brazil.

4) Some players that we were originally worried about have been some of our strongest performers (Beckerdreads, JJ)

5) I've been impressed with JK's in game tactical decisions.

6) Fabian Johnson straight dominated that game.

Summation, our level of play is higher than i would have expected and that excites me going forward.

I
I Believe
I Believe That

I don't get all the doom and gloom now. We have four points. It is incredibly likely we get through.

Back line has better than expected. Demspey has impressed me a lot. Jermaine Jones continues to dominate.

The JK bashers have been noticeably silent, that's for sure.

I don't think it's doom and gloom. We have a great chance to win a few games in the knockout round if we can score and be as threatening we are now. I think people are disappointed that we had that game won after showing incredible heart to come back from a terribly lame goal and take the lead which is something the US has never done in the world cup before(win after being down at half).

I'm incredibly optimistic because we have a great chance to advance even if we don't get a result against Germany. We control our own destiny.

The only thing I'm doom and gloom about is that the game is at 11:30am EST (10:30am CST) on a Thursday.

Still present, but I care more about the players than the coach. The Omar sub blew my mind.

I'm not as sure about this. If you're just going by the scenarios, it seems to work in our favor more often than not. However, if Ghana gets a couple of goals ahead against Portugal (who honestly didn't seem that interested at times), we're in a position where we have to at least tie one of the best teams in the world.

I feel somewhat fortunate with where we are right now. I mean, we should have lost that Ghana game and we should have won the Portugal game. We come out with a win and a tie, so that's even better. I wasn't very impressed with our play against Ghana for the most part. I was impressed last night. It was like a whole different team playing.

We should've drawn with Ghana and won the Portugal matches... which would be a worse position bc Portugal would have nothing to play for, and Ghana would have a better goal differential.

We've scored four well-deserved goals. We've given up three: one of which was a gift to the other team and the other two the result of fantastic individual skill.

Bullcrap. At worst we deserved a tie, but even that takes a cynical mindset. We scored two good goals and defended for 90 minutes against a very talented and motivated side.

I thought it was a decent idea, but rewatching the goal, I'm pretty sure I know why it failed. I'd have to go rewatch the final few minutes to figure out what the frick Omar was doing, but I don't really feel like it

So people who didn't buy into the stupid cult of personality that has grown around him should criticize him even when he has exceeded expectations and doesn't really deserve it?

Even Jose Mourinho makes decisions that are fairly criticized. It's not that big of a deal.

Lots of skill from Ronaldo and the finish on that last goal, but you can't deny that it was poorly defended and could have been easily prevented if Cameron doesn't check out of the game.

It felt like deja vu from the Nigeria friendly with that sub.
