Anyone else? Stu is a maybe.

One thing I have noticed, Herc is playing much harder now that Wondo is nipping at his heels.

Stu was already on the A team for our recent WCQs. No reason that he wouldn't be there again when the next qualifiers come around.

Stu and Landon are locks for A team. Mix, Wondow, Fiscal, Torres, Onyewu, Corona are the guys fighting for the A team.

Landon is a lock. Stu is a probable. I dont see Mix being on this Cups roster. He should be, but he wont.

I think Mix makes it as a backup on the WC roster.

Wouldn't Mix be our 4th DM behind Bradley Stu and Jones. 3rd if Stu plays higher up?

I guess Cameron might be 4th but he may be needed at another position.

yes, but with stu and jones's injury past, i think it may end up being necessary

cameron is going to be a super role player/sub at CB, DM, and maybe RB

I liked Corona's play against Cuba. His quickest created opportunities against an athletic side.

Mix has been very impressive - excited to see him develop.

Corona was out best player vs Cuba, hopefully a sign of things to come.

In terms of players who aren't A team regulars, I'd like to see... Fiscal, Corona, and Mix.

Wondo and Holden will be in by default. Wondo deserves it. Holden doesn't necessarily deserve it based on his play, but definitely does in terms of potential. He's shown flashes of his former self, just hasn't put a complete performance together.

Landon is a given and should be part of our starting 11 whenever healthy.

Cameron should be in the mid field IMO. He looked really impressive there. In fact, I'd like to see him start in the mid field - Bradley, Cameron, Stu, Landon, Dempsey with Jozy up top. Is that too much to ask?
Back 4 could be DMB, Beslar, ??, Dolo

So you would implement a 4-1-4-1 with Cameron at DM, Bradley & Stu in the middle, Deuce on the left and Landy on the right?

Not sure how I feel about that? Clint needs to stay in his attacking mid role and Jones is better than Cameron.

It's really unfortunate Gatt was injured before this tournament. Would have been great to see him and Corona terrorizing these Concacaf backs.

+1

agree, 100%

Cameron had an excellent outing against an inferior team. It was fantastic to see, but to have him in over Jones is an extremely sensitive version of "what have you done for me lately."

Jones is undoubtedly the better player.

If you want to argue that Cameron frees up Bradley to move forward, then I agree. I just happen to think Bradley better serves the team collecting the ball from the defense, and providing world class cover for our back line.

Why couldn't you play a 4-2-3-1 like we have been?

---------Jozy---------
CD------Stu-----LD
Cameron-- Bradley
DMB-Besler-Gonzo-Dolo

But if Jones is better, then play him obviously. I'm not that much on the know.

I'll admit I'm not sure how the technical formation would work. Just would like to see the best players on the field together. And granted I've only seen Cameron in the mid field a very limited amount of time, but it was eye opening to me. His stride and touch seemed uncanny. Looks like he could be a rare talent that we haven't seen before. Maybe I'm jumping the gun, but I was extremely impressed by him recently.

This lineup looks really good on paper IMO.

I think I would rather Dempsey in the middle and Fab on the left (when he is healthy of course).

Yea I can definitely agree with this. Prob pull out Stu, put Dempsey in the middle and someone else on left side.

What is the reasoning behind that? CD played on the left for Fulham. He can slide inside and let DMB overlap to get crosses in. Stu's creativity in the middle would be a breath of fresh air.

Stu hasn't performed well enough to warrant inclusion in our full starting 11 A-Team. If he recovers the form he had prior to his injury, it actually becomes a valid talking point. Which even then is a bit ridiculous, because in his prime form he was playing in more of a Jones/Bradley/Cameron role, not as a CAM number 10.
