perfect spanish, which i knew would be weird to.
I guess what I´m saying is, I expected it to be that way here with English, and to my surprise, it´s not so (at times).

Some Pretty Good Spanish Spoken by a Midlander cum Scouser
ETA I didn´t watch it all, when I posted. He uses some Spanish modisms or slang (applicable to football, of course).

Better to be commonly wrong than uncommonly wrong, or maybe even uncommonly right
Wrt slang, spend a couple of hours listening to ESPN. You'll understand why people are more or less numb to it
Catching the replay now. Guess Ghana-S Korea isn't a big draw in Miami

This is my favorite phrase to use when I'm tired of talking about a subject. It's a fantastic cliche that isn't meant to mean anything.
Wiki tells me that Akan is the most widely spoken language in Ghana, which leads me to believe that this Ghana forum is a well educated subset or something. It's surreal to read.

I noticed one poster was admittedly an American. There could be a large expatriate and/or immigrant community posting on it. You also have to guess that any native Ghanaian with enough frequent internet service to post as often as some of these guys do, probably comes from money, and potentially a more formal education.

Exactly. Sons of ministers, military brass and major businessmen normally study in Europe, and many times spend time there (not studying).

Well - it is what it is.

has your mother been f***** by her billy goat yet tonite? Or is it licki licki nite for her with her pet iguana? Kwadonto tell her I have a wall gecko for her to stick into her Vagina. O he fu onu? You dirty stinking jerkoff.
This was personally my favorite in all of the threads. It also made me a bit terrified of the Ghanaian people. Keep that wall gecko away from my mom, bro.

In the first half South Korea was the superior team despite the 2-0 deficit. The second half of friendlies are terrible for scouting teams once the mass substitutions start.
Any more game analysis? I'm sweating in my undies here looking at that score line.

Anybody know where I can see highlights from this game?
Posted on 6/10/14 at 10:39 am to cwil177
The game was on BeIn Sports. Its website normally has highlights from games it broadcasts.

Ehh I'd say Nigeria is probably better than Korea, and take away Ghana's 89th minute goal and our 85th minute penalty giveaway, both of which has already been pointed out occurred after mass substitutions, and it's 2-0 win for us and 3-0 win for them.
We were the better team in 2010, a bad starting lineup(fricking Ricardo Clark), some near misses, and maybe Howard's worst goalkeeping performance in a us jersey(two near post goals where he was needlessly far off his line) cost us that game. I'm still confident

As a Korean, I would say you shouldn't worry more than before. The Korean team is decent, but horrible at executing IMO. For frick's sake, we lost to Tunisia in a friendly.
Go USA, Germany!

Korea had some really nice combinations, and their play up until the penalty area was good. Their finishing wasn't, and they were outclassed physically by Ghana, who seemed sometimes disinterested, but broke at speed when they could. The 2nd goal came from pressing from the front, but maybe should have been called a foul. Korea pressed well, and showed the Ghanaians aren't all that organized at the back, but Ghana showed they can overcome that by virtue of their considerable athleticism.

Anyone have a link to highlights? I couldn't find anything on Bein.

Korea made it way too easy for them.
2nd goal is instructive, I think. If we do that, we deserve to lose.
3rd goal is super weak.

The 2nd goal from that highlight is essentially the first goal we gave up in 2010
