My dad tried that. He got to the Championship and was dead last halfway through his first season at that level. So he gave up on The Shrimps.

woo, just won my first ever any fifa game. (downloaded 12 on my pc and I'm using a USB controller to get used to it for buying 13 on PS3)

I've tried some of the games in the past and didn't like them... but I wasn't nearly the soccer fan I am now.

Oh song of a bitch.
FIFA just made me depressed. I started a career mode with Arsenal (I'm sure you see where this is going) and immediately put song and RVP on my transfer list to try to get them out.. didn't get any offers. Tried to pull in our 3 new players this year, apparently nobody wanted to let them go.
anyhow, make it to my first preseason friendly... first goal is... by Song... assisted by RVP

Anyone mind explaining Ultimate Team to me? EASports is blocked at work. I've had the last three FIFA's and mostly just play career and head 2 head online. What's the story?

I can give you a very light desription. You use points to buy packs of cards. Cards contain players, you use those guys to play in tournaments. There is a LOT more to it, but I'm sure EA racks up MS points selling premium packs and stuff. I don't commit that much time to it. Only mess with it if I'm really bored and refuse to spend MS points on it.

Jesus Christ. This. If one can attack the box from a side, double tap X, and score almost every time, there's an issue (even if I love it). The low cross should not be that effective for anyone.

Playing last night, I remembered something that really bother me about 12. I don't really remember this being on 11 or before. Me and my roommate play each other a lot. He is always Man City and I'm always Bayern. I don't know if this is just a city thing, but I feel like everytime he clears the ball from his box, Aguero or Dzeko always are right there ready to receive this blind clearance like it was a perfectly normal pass.

Yeah, if you play any team worth a flip, you'll have that issue.
