I can give you a very light desription. You use points to buy packs of cards. Cards contain players, you use those guys to play in tournaments. There is a LOT more to it, but I'm sure EA racks up MS points selling premium packs and stuff. I don't commit that much time to it. Only mess with it if I'm really bored and refuse to spend MS points on it.

While this is partially true, it is a bad way to describe FUT. By playing in games with your team you accumulate coins, which as described above, can be used to buy player packs where it's a crapshoot to see who you'll get. There is also an auction market, where other people put their players up for sale and everyone else can bid on them. This is the easiest way to get a solid team. You can buy a team of all ~80 overall players for under 5000 coins.

What's this "magic cross" you speak of? double tapping the cross button = win?

Anyhow, Why didn't anyone tell me Ozil isn't nearly as effective (at least so far, maybe I'm still not using him correctly) in FIFA.. (i've got him on Arsenal btw)

I've only tried UT once, but I don't like how short contracts are.

Also, FIFA has too many game modes. Options make me scared.

Also also, I decided to actually start playing with my Virtual Pro yesterday. Got him up to an 81 in one day.

Jesus Christ. This. If one can attack the box from a side, double tap X, and score almost every time, there's an issue (even if I love it). The low cross should not be that effective for anyone.

The low cross is awesome. The amount of own goals I have caused online is hysterical

Double tapping cross button makes you do allow cross across the box. Your guys can tap it in for easy volleys while the defenders don't know what to do with them.

Didn't do anything for me in the one game I just tried, I'll have to test it more.

Also why is gervinho such a complete badass in FIFA?

Nothing will get a quit quicker than up a few goals and using the XXX cross and causing an own goal.

hell i mean just normal crosses, but the ones where the guy is literally falling out of bounds and hits this magic cross to the backside of the goal and defenders never "recognize" the offensive player. auto goals

hell, i can't even cross normally. i have no ideas how these guys hit these fricking crosses all the time

I've never gotten a goal off a ground cross. It's never anywhere near a teammate.
