Pathetic they ever agreed to this. People forget just how bad public pressure for social justice was coming out of Covid. But whatever, the Men’s players make several million in Europe and this is a pride gig for them, yet it is the entire livelihood for the women.

doesn't make any sense but whatever. The payouts are actually stupid low for the men.
They should all be making at least $5+ million minimum for as much revenue as this tournament generates

It's such an insanely stupid thing that they get this money. Athletes are entertainers. They don't "do the same job" as female athletes in the same sport. They aren't paid solely based on wins and losses, which should not matter because they aren't competing against the same competition. But the reality is, as an entertainer, you are paid based on your individual worth aka do you put asses in seats and get people to watch?
